Question for Uncle, did they scrap the team store that was going in the front of the stadium or did they move it somewhere else in the stadium? Looks like they are adding landscaping to the area the first designs had the team store at.
I believe someone from the media said UK indicated most of the new trees would not be added until late Oct or November. CWS will not be fully complete this season which I believe was always what UK had indicated from the beginning. There is zero grass, bushes, trees or plants of any kind yet. I will be back in eight days and give another update.
Uncle Blue may not have garnered favor with the UK admin for posting unauthorized pics...
Yes, just like he lets UK rent the KFC Scum Center..........Hey we, won't be using PJCS the first weekend as we will be down in the ATL playing Auburn. Maybe Tom would be nice enough to rent it out to you for small fee of course.
Really, what else do we need beside working plumbing and concessions.....there will be few visible eyesores IMO........can't wait to see it!Very nice job with the club area. First class. Have to guess the suites will be as nice or nicer as well.
No worries with those areas. They are far enough along to get those done in two weeks. The eyesores will be the other areas the fans without the premium seats are going to be walking around. No doubt about it. Once done it will be great. Fans will just have to overlook the incomplete projects most of this season.
I hear that's going around...Maybe you could create a Twitter account and post his email/place of employment.
True, but it would likely be made of cheap plastic, have a toxic scent, and it would likely fall apart in about 1 season...not to mention, all of this American funding would be going overseas, instead of staying at home and paying our own people. Not to get too political, but one of the biggest problems in our country is outsourcing overseas.I've always noticed most construction crews are sitting around talking whenever I drive by them on the road for most projects.
The Chinese would have built the whole thing in a month.
People are going to be absolutely BLOW AWAY at how nice this place is going to be. It's a shame that the entire renovation has become "oh God it's not gonna be ready for ULL!!!" It's becoming apparent that there are a ton of "little touches" that fans didn't really notice in the plans that are going to put it over the top. The landscaping is going to totally change the look of the place.
Drove down University Drive yesterday and it REALLY hit me at how different the stadium "feels" now. The press box just makes the place seem massive all of a sudden. Come September 5, people are going to be living a whole new experience at CWS. Just give the final touches time. It will be ready for the first game. Come the Florida game 2 weeks later, it should be fully ready just in time for us to beat Florida.
I have 2 questions however:
1. Are they not going to do the graphics above the corner suites now? It was going to possible serve as the Ring of Honor, and be stood on top of the suites (which really stick out as looking bad with all the updates) and was going to really help close in the stadium. Looks like it won't happen.
2. What about the covering graphics that were supposed to cover the 4 corner ramps? Very necessary IMO, with the new facade, they absolutely stick out like a sore thumb. Really going to be disapointed if they don't end up doing something with those.
Also, good to see they replaced the "KENTUCKY WILDCATS" above the scoreboards on the inside with new ones. Those things were struggling.
