New info coming out on Ole Miss possibly tonight, Hugh Freeze resigns

Well Freeze won't be getting the team back. I don't know anything about the interium head coach, the OC I guess. This very likely made UK's schedule much easier, they had a chance to be really good this year but that looks like its out the window now. As far as losing players, I don't know the timeline the NCAA is going to hand down the sanctions, if there are any extra, but allowing them to transfer without sitting would happen after those are issued. I don't know if they will be allowed to transfer within conference or not.
But reading the OM board, this sounds more like the Petrino situation at Arkansas than you think. It wasn't the 45 sec call to the escort was a misdial and it could have been I guess, it was the multiple daily calls to a number that wasn't associated with a professional that had been long going.
I have a personal rant to make here. I have made my share, probably alot more than my share of mistakes in my life, but I have never led with my religion as Hugh Freeze has done since his arrival at Oxford. He has lied to any and just about everyone who has asked him a question, he has bought kids left and right his entire time there, he has dared people to prove he bought kids and apparently he was pulling a Petrino, all the while claiming to be a Christian man. He is far worse than Petrino in my opinion, who never claimed to be anything other than what he is. I think the word for Freeze is hypocite. Getting canned because of a moral clause in his contract,which means no drawn out payments from OM. His actions have caused major embarrassment to the university, severely damange their football program and misled every OM fan with his holier than thou facade.

I understand the coach of UK's biggest rival is disliked more than any. But Petrino has never put himself out there as a Christian man, and claiming to be ethical and morally above temptation. Freeze on the other hand has hid behind his religion and being a man of God his entire career, when it fact he has turned out to be one of the biggest cheaters in college football, and before all this gets settled in his personal life as well. He has lied to everyone who has ask him a question, all the while quoting scripture. What a hypocrite. And OM defended his lying rear until phone records showed his multiple calls daily to someone not his wife, other family members or OM personel. All he needed to look worse was a motorcycle.
I never bought into his self-righteous imagine he was trying to sell but I've known several "Christians" who were fake too .
Guy seems like a scumbag and a hypocrite, but how much you want to bet we'd have heard none of this if sanctions weren't coming. Ole piss wanted to cut him loose on the cheap.

Bobby Neckbrace is like Freeze in that he is a pathologically lying, ethically challenged sack of dung, but yeah, Bobby Neckbrace doesn't pretend to be otherwise, unlike Freeze.
What a mess Hugh Freeze was. Brought in some great recruits in Tunsil, Nkemidche, Treadwell, etc...and it looks like all of that was a total fraud and cheat job.
My only hope is this guts the 2017 Ole Miss team and we can get a solid W in November when we face them. I feel some of the better players we'll compete up against for Ole Miss were probably "bought" in some capacity and I hope we dn't lose to them as it's totally apparent that most of the program's success was a fraud under Hugh Freeze.

I don't think he's ever said much about what he is...or isn't.
He's a football coach and if it's about wins and losses, he's a good one.
And therein lies the rub...
I wasn't talking about what BP said, can't believe him anyway, I was talking about Grumpy not listing all of his bad deeds because that would take all day.
Petrino knows everybody thinks he's a jerk (including a lot of Cardinal fans) and doesn't hide behind some false religion trying to make gullible people believe he's some great, moral man. The fact that he is open about being a grade A scumbag is overlooked because he is a really good football coach that wins games. UL has low enough standards (perhaps the lowest in all of sports) that they don't mind having a person like him (and Pitino) representing their university and city as long as he keeps winning. The culuture in their athletic dept is really messed up, it's sad because Louisville is in many ways a great city and deserves better than the garbage they're being sold.
Freeze will eventually end up somewhere else after asking for forgiveness and contend that he is a changed man. And there will be people that believe him. A few bible quotes and you're right back in, it's the con artists #1 tool.
It's stuff like this that makes me so grateful that UK has a genuine, decent human being leading the FB team. OM is gonna be reeling from this for a long time. Sucks for the guys that actually went there because they love the university.

Was this Ole Miss's ugly way of keeping players from transferring? Leave them to believe that their coach was safe and then pull out the rug a couple of weeks before training camp?
I think this is their ugly way of copping a plea with the NCAA to get off with nothing more than the self-imposed sanctions.

I am pretty sure the blonde come on to ole Bobby to start his little deal up. Used what she had to overcome lack of experience to get a cushy job in the Arkansas recruiting office. Sadly quite a few 50+ year old men would have fallen into that trap set by a hot blonde half his age. I know she wasn't hot to most of you guys because you don't date anything but supermodels and actresses, but for us homely folks she was pretty hot.
I THINK an allowed transfer w/o sitting out a year is only true IF the sanctions would prohibit a player from a post season opportunity during the remainder of his career at initial school. That is to say if you have 1 or 2 years of eligibility remaining and the school is hit with a 2 year ban on post season, you may transfer w/o meeting the residency requirement. If you have 3 or more years of eligibility remaining the normal transfer rule applies (I think).

I realize that 200+ texts is a far cry from the 4300+ texts and 300+ calls he exchanged with Jessica Rabbit, but apparently Bobby Neckbrace was on the prowl for more than just Jessica. The University of Louisville is on a collision course with yet another scandal. The only variable is time.....
You could be right there, if he had thought of that he would have told OM that was what he was doing.
OM fans have really turned on him since all this broke, if what he said was going on it would make Louisville blush.
If OM gets hit with what I have heard with it will take them years to recover, 3 year bowl ban, lost of 30 scholarship over 2 years, loss of 9 for the next 3 years and 5 years probation. That's crippling. No idea if that is whats on the way or not, but nearly 40 scholarships over 5 years would be half a team.
UGA would volunteer that and hope the NCAA would accept it. But if we were buying players left and right, then telling everyone if they knew OM was cheating to contact the compliance office its what we would deserve.

Well I hate to be classified as one of the homely folks but if thinking she was pretty hot makes you homely then I guess I am pretty homely.
What gets me is how dumb would you have to be to be riding around on an open bike with a blond like that behind you with so many skeletons in your closet? When half the people in the state know you on sight, and the other half would want to investigate just to find out who the blond was.
I guess he always knew no matter what he did jurich would take him back, even throw a $24,500,000 contract at him even though no one else was in the bidding.
But why wasn't he in jail at Arkansas for misuse of public funds, it is a state university, even though hiring his son at Transfer U as position coach at TWO different positions might be just as outrageous. Couldn't he have given him part of the $500,000 bonus for his APR work (LOL) and saved part of the talk about town?
I think jurich isn't satisfied with making over $5,000,000 a year, I think he needs some kickbacks along the way.
