Oh, here we go. I'll take out the feminist part since you're obviously sensitive about it but it's a highly discussed part of the production especially when they put Thor as their secretary.

I was hoping that this would be a continuation instead of a complete remake. I'll probably be taking my kids to see it so they'll be a lot more into it than I will be. There's no way I can see it without comparing it to the original.
Bottom line is, to me, the first was a meh movie idea made awesome by the cast and this probably can't even get close.

This movie makes me angry. Can't a bunch of coonts make their own movie? Quit riding the cocktails of money making men movies.

Yeah I think I'd rather sit and watch dancing man(aka nutz on a rail) get sloppy drunk and try and lift obese older women and carry them down the steps at rupp.
Bridesmaids was actually really really funny IMO, was surprised how much I laughed at that one. So that gives me hope for this one, though to be honest the chances of me actually watching a ghostbusters movie at the theatre was pretty slim to begin with.
Couldn't disagree more. One of the most over rated comedies IMO. Kept waiting for all those funny moments but they never came.
Was it over rated? I had never heard of it until I randomly saw it on HBO or some such on a random lazy Sunday. Was cracking up quite a bit. The plane ride with Kristen Wiig had me cracking up pretty good. Also the bride shitting herself in the middle of the street - actually pretty much 85% of the movie I found funny.

You missed the Bridesmaids hype? Happy for you, but it was everywhere for a bit. Was labeled as the Hangover, but for women.

It takes awhile for you to realize that very few people will actually read a lengthy article on a topic that's not a big deal.
The original actually had comedians in it that could act. This looks like an ad for how to ruin a great movie while trying to show everyone Hollywood still exists. The all female cast doesn't include anyone that anyone wants to go see do anything.
Winston never came across as a stereotype. Sure he was blue collar but brought that every man quality to the team full of goofy ass scientists. The black chick they got here based on the trailer looks like a walking stereotype straight out of a Tyler Perry movie. No thanks.
Anywhere from $100 to $200 mil at the box office. Feig has had some box office success with The Heat, Bridesmaids, and Spy. The all female cast has a strong possibility of hurting it, but if it ends up being funny then it won't matter. It comes out in July and this year's July lineup is week. I'll make a prediction of $149 million. Strong opening but drops fast.
