Read a story that after an 0-2 start and losing at home last week to Kansas the writing is on the wall that Brown is gone after the season if not before it. A major Donor at the school has one name on his list and that Coach has SEC connections. The Donor want Hugh Freeze. Would Brown be a good hire onto Stoops staff?

No. Offensive philosophies are contradictory to each other.

Brown is going to be an analyst on Saban's staff while collecting his huge WVU buyout and begin his professional image rehabilitation.

Shame too. He was a very good coach at Troy. WVU's recruiting has fallen off since joining B12.

That wouldn't be a surprise, or maybe even become the OC if there is an opening.

It would shock me. Can't see Stoops going back to an air raid type offense. He was persuaded to have Brown as OC when he first got here and Brown did a very good job, but they've moved on from that style.

No thanks. Against all odds, we can finally run the football in the sec. Most years we're even really good at it and eventually will be again this year.

Don't go back now.

I don't think Neal Brown's offense is that different than what Stoops runs these days. The run/pass splits are pretty close to what we have. But I don't know that we are going to have a spot open for him unless he wants to take a lower staff position, which would be a bad move for him.

WVU could be a landing spot for Coastal Carolina coach Jamey Chadwell. Chadwell has NCAA history, liked playing ineligible players at previous stops which would make him a perfect fit at WVU.

Could see Brown taking an analyst job for a year or two.

Give me a pod from an expanded SEC that has UK annually play: WVU, UT, Vandy, and SCAR while rotating the other 6 conf opponents and I’d be happy for life.

Yeah. I think Stoops is comfortable with a Pro Style offense. It fits his physical brand of football.

If you haven't paid attention to Neal's Troy or WVU teams, he has evolved away from where he started as a pure Leach Texas Tech Air raid system. A lot like Dana Holgerson, he now knows being shotgun spread passing 80% of the time simply doesn't challenge the defense in every facet. Probably a lesson Neal learned working under Stoops 2 yrs.

Brown seems like a good guy, but I am happy with coach scangerallo and the NFL route for our offenseive coordinator, or brown would want to be a WR coach or RB coach then I am all for it

Im a big NB fan but I like our current style for several reasons-2 of which I enjoy watching it and I like that Scan came from the NFL and teaches/coaches that style here and I think it really helps recruiting because UK can actually teach recruits for the next level everyday

I think and hope NB lands in his feet and is a huge success where ever he lands. Timing just isn’t right for him at UK right now

At the time WVU felt they had no choice. Big East was a dying rotting corpse. They moved to a Power 5 conference, with Texas & Oklahoma as leaders. Had no idea the ACC would a year later be desperate for teams. Or that the B12 would melt away 10 yrs after joining.

Heck no . I know a lot of people that are pretty close to Neil and I’ve met him and he is by all accounts a GREAT guy . But I DO NOT want his offensive concept here at UK.

They will never recover .

Would like for him to come to Kentucky and become an analyst here. He's from the state and can learn a bit from our OC as he rehabs his image.

On the staff, yes. OC, no. Stoops has his system now and it's not what Brown runs.

Brown just doesn’t match up anymore with what stoops and Co. Wanna do. I wish the best of luck to the man and hope he lands solid.

So would I want him as OC probably not but as Saban does would like him on the staff as something to learn from Stoops and Company.
