I would take UCONN over field last year.I’d never bet on a pool of only two teams against the field. That’s always an unwise bet with the wild crapshoot that is this 68 team single elimination format.
But I agree with the sentiment. If I had to pick just two against the field, it would probably be the two Alabama teams.
I hope you are right.Field, easily.
I'd think you'd be better off taking Houston and Florida over the field, personally.
Auburn has finally shown it's weaknesses, they can be beaten just like anyone else. That air of invincibility from earlier this year is now totally gone. Just another top seed to get upset at this point. Have they had a great year so far ? Sure. But this team losing 3 of its last 4 (even with a backloaded schedule) is a very telling trend.
Auburn and Alabama had better watch out. They aren't "sneaking up" on anybody in the NCAA, their cockiness and attitude will be their ultimate undoing. And with the victory today, if Barnes doesn't make the Final Four THIS YEAR, will he ever ? And will Tennessee ever make it there? Not betting either Alabama, Auburn or the Vols will make the final four, regardless of the path they get given to them.
I still think Kentucky and Florida will be the two last SEC teams standing when it's all said and done.
Go Big Blue !
I would take Bama, Auburn, FL, anf TN against the field.Field
Why does everyone think Barnes is retiring? I know he is 71 but how often does a coach retire at the top of his game unless forced to by health problems?Tennessee will be the last SEC team standing, Barnes gets to the FF in his last season.
I’m saying Barnes retires, Oats is off to the NBA,Why does everyone think Barnes is retiring? I know he is 71 but how often does a coach retire at the top of his game unless forced to by health problems?
Too many injuries for us. I’d guess Florida and Tennessee. Of Florida, Tennessee, alabama, and auburn I think auburn is the least likely to make the final four.Field, easily.
