You don’t get a pass at kentucky

Year one for a selection of coaches at their current school

Pitino: 20-13, missed NCAAT
Golden: 16-17, missed NCAAT
Pearl: 15-20, missed NCAAT
Scheyer: 27-9, 5 seed, L Round of 32
Nate Oats: 16-15, missed NCAAT
Dan Hurley: 16-17, missed NCAAT

And I’m sorry but if you’d trade our season for Louisville’s you’re an idiot. They racked up tons of wins in a cupcake ass conference and will still be seeded below us. Because nobody gives a crap about any of the teams they’ve beaten.
Toe to toe with duke. I think they win this game

Are you retarded? Seriously asking. 2010 UK was not a shot from the final four. They were down 5 points with like 10 seconds left and bricked yet another 3 pointer and west Virginia then made 2 FTs to win by 7.

UK never had a legit shot to make the final four once WVU went on a run n the 2nd half.
Not to mention, the SEC back then was an absolute joke. That 2010 team lost to a bad South Carolina team.
Pope is trying to win games with one arm tied behind his back in the toughest conference of all time.

As I watch Pitino destroy the big east and Golden destroy the SEC it got me thinking how important coaching is in college. If these two guys can go to these schools and find players that compete then the UK coach never gets a pass. Even in year 1. Pitino and Golden have players that compete. For that matter UL does under Kelsey. That’s why you never get a pass. You have to be tough and hungry. Everything in place here. If you can do it at Florida and St John you can do it here
Pitino went 13-13 in his first season at UK. Including a 50+ loss at ku. No, Pope doesn’t get a pass but I’d say he’s done pretty damn good for having a month to put a roster together. And he's had some great wins despite an unreal amount of critical injuries.

faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar Pope

Seriously, this board has had the absolute WORST takes in the past 24 hours. Some of you need to go touch grass. Badly.

It’s not about the result as much as the hunger. Injuries or first year have nothing to do with it. UL plays their azz off on defense. They look like a very good team and we could not beat them right now.
they already beat them tf u talking about? The ACC is pure garbage.

What's crazy is they were the worst 3 point shooting team in the tournament, literally! And they didn't score one two point basket in the first half. All 3's and free throws.

When healthy this team competed with the best in the country, and beat UofL so it seems you are just trolling

I must say, Kelsey has UofL playing hard. They don't take any possessions off. UK vastly more talented than Louisville, but Louisville plays hard and plays defense. They punch above their weight. I give credit where credits due.
