Yup.The format was okay(still not competitive)but it still was and and they had too many breaks .
The only game where they attempted defense was the rising stars vs the Ogs for obvious reasons . The rising stars were not true all stars so they weren’t “too cool” to attempt to play defense and they wanted to pull off the upset . The OGs obviously didn’t want to lose a bunch of young guys that weren’t all stars so they played defense for a stretch .
Lebron and Anthony Edwards sitting out at the last minute was lame too .
They definitely could have got Norman Powell who participated in the 3 pt contest . Bron didn’t even arrive until Sunday .Yup.
Someone else could have played in the game. Even with Young and Kyrie getting to play, there were still multiple deserving guys left out.
Sabonis and Lamelo seem like the 2 most glaring.
Yup Trae Young also complained about the breaks . I’m not sure why they thought would be a good idea . 40 pts with no defense is a very low target score and makes for a quick game . They could have easily increased the target score and decreased all of the breaks.Someone on Reddit posted.
It was a 3+ hour NBA event. There were 42 minutes of basketball across 3 games.
Viewership down 5%, allegiance to China, one the leagues biggest, loudest asshats calling the game “boring,” pre-madonna “load management” babies, oh yeah, nepobaby, and inmates running the asylum…Such as?
I grew up watching the NBA of the 70's. Well, barely watching. One game a week on TV. The finals on tape delay. .. Doesn't seem like much of a p[roblem today.Viewership down 5%, allegiance to China, one the leagues biggest, loudest asshats calling the game “boring,” pre-madonna “load management” babies, oh yeah, nepobaby, and inmates running the asylum…
Good for the owners, good for the players. The wnba is on TV too, hardly makes that trash a juggernaut. Viewership being down speaks to the fact that this current iteration of the NBA isn’t as attractive as it once was. Adam Silver realizes this and has stated repeatedly that changes need to be made.I grew up watching the NBA of the 70's. Well, barely watching. One game a week on TV. The finals on tape delay. .. Owners richer than ever. Players richer than ever. It's a true global game.
