If John Pelphrey and Mike Anderson get multiple years, I think Musselman is allowed at least one down year.
I don't think the hogs would get rid of him but I believe he would jump ship in a heartbeatIf John Pelphrey and Mike Anderson get multiple years, I think Musselman is allowed at least one down year.
His wife has family in Arkansas, and they both seem to love it. He might leave for a college west coast job since he is from San Diego, or maybe the NBA again, you never really know.I don't think the hogs would get rid of him but I believe he would jump ship in a heartbeat
You go first. Please show him how it's done. The only thing I want to hear is that Cal is working on an exit strategy.
I was here before him and will still be here when is is LONGGGGGG GONE!!!You go first. Please show him how it's done.
That's a shame.I was here before him and will still be here when is is LONGGGGGG GONE!!!
It sounds verifiable on social media. So as long as it’s long winded, it seems credible to the mindless drones who frequent those pages.Whom they "instinctively trust". I mean what kind of word salad is that around a supposed source?
"The source is unproven, but our gut says to trust them. Yeah, I'll run with that on my TWEETER."
This^^^Never liked the dude. He’s weird. He’s not as weird as Crean, but seems to be getting closer by the minute. Something just not right with either of them.
I don’t think he’s leaving but he just didn’t get a good mix of transfers , it felt like they just put out offers and landed everyone over the summer. I don’t know if he will be consistently a good coach or not but he looked pretty good for a couple years.I can’t believe there was a period of time where people wanted him to coach here myself included
Hurley is one of the few IMO. I’d throw the bank at him. He can legit coach.Honestly at this point there isn’t a clear cut coach out there who you say “ yeah I want him to replace cal”.
Seems very personal to you. This thread didn’t have a damn thing to do with our coach but no, you had a stick. You’re stupid agenda, driven crap on another thread..
No doubt but he aint leaving UConnHurley is one of the few IMO. I’d throw the bank at him. He can legit coach.
Zero chance Dan Hurley leave UConn. In the landscape of modern college basketball (and before you jump down my throat I said modern college basketball, not the entire history of both programs) it's a lateral move. He's a northeast guy with family ties to the northeast. His dad's an NYC metro area high school coaching legend. He's won a title at UConn and has their program absolutely humming right now.
Why throw that away to try to start over at a place where you're on the hot seat after one down year? Like it or not, the expectations here are a detriment to attracting coaches.
Be pretty dumb to leave after one bad year IMO.If John Pelphrey and Mike Anderson get multiple years, I think Musselman is allowed at least one down year.
For you to care my response must have been personal to you.Seems very personal to you.
There has to be a number he would take. And for sure I’d offer more than what Cal is getting. The hope there is that he comes up short this year, and that might cause him to think it was something with Uconn holding him back, that he needs to go to a blue blood to have the best chance at winning. He's also only making about $5mil. I'd throw $11mil at him tomorrow and make him turn down a kings ransom.
But if he wins this year? Back to back? He's not leaving.
Rent free. The only thing I want to hear is that Cal is working on an exit strategy.
Anderson never had a year quite this bad though, but he never had the tournament success Muss has had either. If John Pelphrey and Mike Anderson get multiple years, I think Musselman is allowed at least one down year.
It will be ok. Deep breaths. For you to care my response must have been personal to you.
I am fine you’re the one that felt the need to come to your boyfriend’s defenseIt will be ok. Deep breaths.
---Pardon me if I’m not inclined to put much credence in a scoop by a twitter handle of no real person (other than “coaching changes”) citing an alleged “unproven source.”
You must've missed the part about "instinctively trust"ing his unproven source? The only question is: will Arky come after Cal?Pardon me if I’m not inclined to put much credence in a scoop by a twitter handle of no real person (other than “coaching changes”) citing an alleged “unproven source.”
The only thing I want to hear is that Cal is working on an exit strategy.
He did win a chip last year and could be well on his way to repeating. That's no fluke. The guy can obviously coach. Now, whether he'd leave and whether he'd be a fit at UK are other matters entirely. He’s just the coach flavor of the moment among Cal haters. Just like Musselman, Oates, Pearl, etc
ONE NCAAT win and ONE SECT win since 2019 is not acceptable at UK no matter who the coach is. Especially one being paid 9 million per year.So stupid & uncalled for. I'd rather you & all the other miserables leave rather than Cal. We'd be 1,000,000% better off.

All those NBA players and ONE NC is underachieving. Cal’s done the least with the most of any coach in history. One of those years there was not a tournament smart one. You're talking 3 seasons:
1. Covid year...enough said. I've gone over & over the dynamics that made that year so difficult on a young, brand new roster UK team. Other young teams struggled as well but we were not just young bit every face was new.
2. St Peters...wow we got upset. It's not like Coach K/Duke, Self/KU, & Williams/ UNC...we're never upset. We were upset by a team that made it to the Elite 8 winning 2 other games they were not supposed to win. We were also bamged up. Still should've won but realistically we were not positioned to make a deep run with 3 guys at 80%.
3. Last year, we were not very good but did enough to get in. We beat a Providnce team that was laying well & list to a KSU team that had a guard playing out of his mind & another saying very well....lost at the end.
If those 3 seasons honestly calls for a coach who's been to 6 final 4's with 3 different schools, 4 of those at UK & a national championship to leave the school...It only proves how stupid some UK fans are.
The previous 4 seasons were:
-elite 8
-sweet 16
-elite 8
-no tournament
I swear that we have the most weak minded, shallow, emotional driven fans on the planet.
BTW, If Cal were not here we would not have the team that we have this year.

If he couldn’t win it with the 2015 team, he’s not winning it with this one.
I want to get back to going to FF’s and competing for SEC Championships and NC’s. It’s never going to happen with Cal again. It’s past time for him to retire.
When you start accepting mediocrity at a blueblood you will turn into Indiana before you know it,
I’m tired of the next year excuses.
After we get knocked out the first weekend of the NCAAT again this season, Cal needs to hit the road.
Matt Jones says UL people are saying Musselman will be at UL next season
There’s a rumor that Devo Davis and Trevon Brazile are in a relationship and it’s causing turmoil.
