Music City Bowl vs Iowa

All Iowa has to do is watch us vs south carolina or vandy......and I dont think we have a chance.

But the starting qb is out for Iowa...

Maybe the head coaches should suit up and kick field goals for a change.

The Music City Bowl is a great experience and a good game. Went vs Northwestern - chilly, tough loss but fun. The teams, players and fans and Nashville deserved better. I would go for a fresh matchup but UK gains little from a rematch. It is the one match up I would not fault Levis from skipping. YE in Nashville is interesting but so is watching on TV.
I have a bigger issue with the repeat opponent. Anyone but Iowa, since we played them last year. What I like about Bowl games is playing teams we don't normally play. Playing Iowa (anyone) twice in a row is terrible, unless it's a playoff game.

The good is it is on Saturday even though the time is bad with B-ball game. But Saturday and closer to new years is better for watching and possibly celebrating. Also, a team we have a 50/50 chance of beating that is in kind of shape we will probably be in at the QB position. So all not bad. I think ND would have been an intriguing game. Let's just WIN and everything will seem a lot better.

Are you 12 or do you have amnesia?
Clearly to say "unknown" means you are unaware:

Coach Mark Stoops has done what NO ONE has been able to do the last 70 YEARS.
...And he has STAYED.
No other coach has had the resources, facilities, support, or money that Stoops has had. So, the past is irrelevant. Remember the recruiting room Brooks was using was the corner of the nutter facility.

Without Stoops we don’t go to a bowl was the quote.

Yes that is true because he’s the current coach.

But it is also unknown if the team would’ve or not this year if another person had been coaching (“without Stoops”)

Bryant, Curci, Claiborne, Curry, Mumme, Brooks, and Joker all “went to a bowl game”

Now kindly GFY

Many Iowa fans are hopeful Stoops will be the Hawkeyes next coach. Of course that’s only if Kirk doesn’t coach until he’s 80!

I’m sure the Iowa fans feel similarly to our fans. I’m not sure why it wasn’t UK-Illinois and Iowa-Missouri. But Iowa is a solid program. Much more so than ours historically. And the extra practice and chance for new faces to play is big for the program. Nashville is about best case scenario for UK I would think after a bit of a disappointing season.

The #1 thing Iowa fans are most excited about it going to Nashville. Most Iowans likely have never gone even though it's only 9 hours from Iowa City.

I don't expect a huge Iowa fan following but then again, you never know--Iowa always seems to love bowl trips and the fan support usually great. But this is a 7-5 team that had an underwhelming season vs pre-season hype.

As I said, I wished it wasn't a re-match from last year's bowl matchup.

Unlikely at this point. Iowa missed its window with Stoops. He's too proud of what he's built here.

I can’t believe they’re giving us this as our last football game for 9 months. It’s a cruel fricking world.

Who’s pounding the over with me? Screw $500 for NIL, we’re bringing out the HAMMER. 19-17!

Video Game Awards are much more interesting that Kentucky v Iowa, and right now the VGA are boring af

To be fair someone named MilfHunter just won a steam deck on the live broadcast, I don't think the music city bowl can compete with that.

a man of taste, I see.
GOTY prediction? If it ain't Elden Ring, I'm gonna burn Seattle to the ground.
