Seriously, what do you expect? It took the Patriots to earn 5 sb titles in 45 years...I despise a poster who starts his first paragraph with "well this is my problem!" Then says, I'll get blasted! No you won't from me, but you will from others...come on, winning a title of any kind is difficult no matter what sport. Expectations from any fan base is ridiculous at times....for example Tiger Woods should have surpassed Jack Nicklaus by now but hasn't, Kentucky Basketball at some point will surpass UCLA for most titles...it takes time, especially with the superior athletes in all sports now...NFL, NBA, MLB, any Collegiate Sports....etc....just embrace what UK has accomplished in basketball for the last 9+years...the team reloads again next year and will be just as exciting as the previous years....no bashing again from me....just relax and enjoy the ride.

FACT is, Cal is 26-6 in NCAA Tournament games, with 14 of those wins coming against teams seeded 5 or better. And FACT is 9 of those 14 wins were in close games against top 10 teams. Amazing totals for a guy who can't coach and isn't good in close games.

When are we all going to understand that most talented does not mean best players? Mason was certainly a better player than Fox last season but nobody would argue that Mason is the more talented player.

Looks like he is a great coach. He took a bunch of freshman one and dones and came within one basket of beating a team with mostly seniors and juniors and going to the final four. Anybody with common sense would realize that is great coaching.

That's true, but Coach Cal's play calling has not been the greatest. Against Wisc. when we got the two 30 sec calls, and the twins wouldn't go into Towns. He should have called Time Out and told them if the third pass wasn't into Towns, they were on the bench. The center guarding Towns had 4 fouls and was giving Towns the basket.
This year when we scored against UNC, everyone knew that UNC was going to get the ball down the floor fast, before we could set our defense. As soon as we scored, he should have called time out and set his defense.

I will never understand how Towns didn't get the ball. It gets worse every year because we now realize how truly great Towns was as well.
If you are "old school" then you should know how difficult it is to win a NC. It's not always the team with the most talent for there are numerous factors involved. We have 8 NC's since the NCAAT began.....8. Cal gives us a chance to win a title every year and us UK fans should be happy with that.
So I guess you prefer Billy G or Tubby. We could then get players to stay 3-4 years and be playing in the NIT.

Hump had shot his bolt...he had nothing left. He had given us an amazing performance, above and beyond, but UK isn't winning with him in the game jacking up shots the last 3.5 minutes. Willis was the smart choice. He just missed shots.
All I know is that all I hear is Duke Duke Duke Duke Duke and they have 5 National titles in the history of their program, one of which Pitino could have prevented.

Some of our fans need those championships so badly to shut up/ rub in the faces of some of their friends, co-workers, etc. that bash Cal and that's what leads to them jumping off of the cliff.

Unforunately, I can't call you an idiot 1000000000000000000001 times. i can't say anything that others on here haven't pounded on. We virtually lose 7 guys every year. What team loses 7 guys and are in contention the next season? If all you can be satisfied with is Titles, go root for Luoisville...wait, only 1 title all of Rick's years there. Duke...Oh, you have top put up with LeHigh, Mercer and South Carolina. North Carolina, again 1 title since Cal has been here and 20 years of cheating. I don't see a team you can cheer for. The closest I got for you is the New England Patriots

Since Cal got to UK, only K has won more than 1 title, and the first was with a veteran team. He hadn't yet embraced the OAD thing. Cal has more EEs, and FFs in that timeframe than any other coach.
Another point about UConn is even with 2 recent titles who ever talks about them? They've faded into obscurity while the Cats with "just one" title under Cal is spotlighted practically 12 months of the year. It's quite the achievement to be EXPECTED to compete for a title every year for 8 straight years and counting.
I don't care they won 2 tittles. I can say confidently that i would not want to be them. I would MUCH rather have our 8 years than their 8 years.
Their future look like shit. I would be a miserable fan.
