Im going to say since winning at Kansas a few yrs ago.
But this one is even more satisfying than that one so Im going to say since beating Houston in the S16 in 2019.
But Im personally even more satisfied with this one than Houston.
2014 Semis v Wisconsin.

Thats it.

What say you Big Blue?

It’s been a long time since I felt that good after a win.

The best part was watching as a young player with tons of upside made errors down the stretch which contributed to a loss. And watching several seasoned, older players make clutch plays down the stretch which contributed to a win.

The shoe that’s now on the other foot is feeling quite comfortable.

It’s been a long time since I can remember being that excited about UK winning the game. I don’t know how others feel but the last 5 years have made me numb to UK basketball. I knew we would be good and win some big games but I didn’t feel like we could make a big run, plus with Cal we could lose to anyone.

This will sound hyperbolic, but the feeling it provoked for me, I’d probably have to go back to the 2012 championship or John Wall’s bunch winning their first big tests against UNC or UConn early that season. The reason I make such a claim and reach back that far is pretty simple: each of the above (and last night) seemed to announce in their own way to the basketball world that UK is finally back. It’s been a long time coming.

Yeah I told my wife I had not been that excited about a UK win in years. I thought it was because I was getting older. But I think it was more about really really liking the coach. I remember how much fun it was to watch the games when Pitino was coaching because I knew he wanted to win for the fans and players. We all know Cal's first priority was the players and the players priority was the NBA (I don't find fault with the players for that). Not sure if Pope will win any championships but I know we won't find anyone else who will try harder.

Swear this op post something like this after many big wins. We have the tendency to be prisoners of the moment because the last few years we have had quite a few big regular season games where everyone proclaimed we were back! It's a big game yes but so our Unc and Kansas wins as well as auburn and Ut.

Early season, prime opponet, biggest game of the night, promise of a new season has this effect more so than SEC grind game.

We UK fans are fortunate. We get on average a handful of great victories almost every year. You could say this is our best win against Duke since 1998.

It's been a looooooong time for me ... probably UK at Florida, 2003. Vs. Matt Walsh, Roberson, that group.

This reminded me of the 2010 come out party vs. UNC

At least in a sense that it signaled a new era has arrived.

Also having Pope as a coach just reminded me what I already knew that I love Kentucky basketball. Just hope we never again have a coach that sucks the soul out of the fanbase.

Little bit different than the past few victories the last few years. We don’t have a superstar, we have a team and a coach that want to prove everyone wrong and a starving fan base that needed a change. We were an afterthought to the announcers and the media, we weren’t supposed to win that game. And we didn’t play fantastic basketball, we played good team basketball and made adjustments in game that were vital to the victory. This was superior to those other victories because the Duke victory puts us back on the right track for recruiting and is this season and this season matters more.

In years past many of our big wins just felt different because there was always the next game hovering over big wins. The next game could be a mid level SEC team that we allow to dominate us because they have one guy that gets hot and hill hits shots. Of course we make no adjustments and lose. This always taints the big win we had for me.

We had 3 top 10 wins just last season.

Last night was needed to turn the page and reinforce the Pope hire even more. Now it's about consistency, which last years team never achieved.

Last year's last win: upsetting UT in Knoxville to secure the double bye was pretty sweet. As someone mentioned above, turned out it was fools' gold
