More Huggins drama at WVU

Question??

Would he not benefit more by resigning, opposed to being terminated? Contract wise---what he is owed, etc...?? Seems if FIRED, he potentially could be leaving lots of money, perks, benefits, etc....on the table.

No - it’s like unemployment. If an employee resigns it’s much harder to get unemployment or they’re not eligible. If they’re fired they can apply for it. When you resign you do it voluntarily so typically in most contracts you forfeit certain things when resigning vs firing.

I mean, I definitely recall some cheering Hugs on and saying how much they loved him after his amazing radio appearance. Where are those folks now? Heck, if the way he talked about Oscar didn't show us he's a prick, his actions over the last couple months have really driven the point home.

Does anyone remember how he appeared with cuts/banged up face after a night in Vegas when the NCAA used to have that end the Live period? Huggins said he tripped and fell on the bed in his room at the hotel....I mean people have known for years he was/is/will be an alcoholic. This is nothing new. They stood by him after the radio appearance regarding his take on Xavier/Catholics...so now they have to stand by him when he's blatantly Drunk driving and remember he asked the officers to "give me a ride home" and they responded we've done that "several times" prior.

Everyone has enabled this guy and if you want to go the dark side..he's not even performed as a coach at a level you would want to look the other way. If you are going to be a scumball, you better be a huge winner. Chris Beard should be put on notice seeing how Huggins is going down.

I never cared much for him as a coach with his tough guy look. His style was questionable too with his verbal abuse, even though he allowed his players to retaliate the same way. West Virginia is better off without him.

He’s got the perfect case —he was black-out drunk when he “resigned” and has no memory of it. Can’t hold him to that.
No he's fired for cause. Blood sucking lawyers. Still, WVU HR screwed up by not demanding a letter if resignation.
Ding ding ding we have a winner.
Stupid blood sucking lawyers. He will lose and pay lawyers out the butt.

I don’t know, I think under his agreement they didn’t proceed correctly and may have to pay him a portion of his deal now even firing him. It looks bad for their legal department that the AD accepted a resignation in his wife’s name that didn’t even mention the coach himself.
