Getting Vandy bowl eligible and winning against a ranked team is a big feat, but honestly I'd think weirdo Beamer, who may end up with a 9 win season, with the schedule they had might be good enough to get it.

If Texas beats Texas am…he’s leading candidates for the top tier programs (but I’d argue Texas has played lesser schedule of the top guys)

IMO, either Napier or Beamer are most deserving with their schedule amd Lea a close 3rd.
I can see VT making Beamer a contract he can't refuse. He grew up as a kid in Blacksburg.

I'd go with Clark Lea. Vandy is bowl eligible. Bear Bama. Played Texas to within 3 points. Lost a squeaker to Mizzouin 2OT.
I agree. If the metric is how much has your team improved over the season, I would hand it to Napier and Florida. The Gators are smart sticking with him after a couple of disappointing seasons.
