Montavin quisenberry wvu commit will be on a official visit for vandy game visit thi

The guy ain’t huge, but he’s got some magic on a football field.

This one might boil down to the status of Neal Brown in late December.

If Coach Brown is retained or extended, I would expect MQ sticks with WV.

If Coach Brown is released, he could easily end up back in Lexington at UK, or buying a farm or two in Boyle County to settle down, or both.

If that were to occur. I hope we are MQ’s second choice.

I think the interest here has picked because roster size will more than likely increase to 105.

I would think that if the schollies go to 105, the average signing class will number around 25-30, depending on a school’s desire for transfers.

Man, the Big Boys are going to really dent the talent at most G5 and likely all FCS programs!

But should the smaller programs survive (and I bet some don’t without P4 road-game-payouts) that is more kids getting schollies for football.

He's a legitimate player who is incredibly talented, but he's also pretty small. I'd love to see him at UK, but I'd also love to see him on a field somewhere and not just on the sidelines.

I hope montavin stays home this kid is a hell of a athlete little pissed at him though my grandson plays for garrard County and montavin played for garrard co when he was a freshman boyle recruited him over there so he left it is what it is

Absolutely agree. Hated to hear he jumped on with WVU so quick because I think he's a playmaker no matter his size. Glad to hear he's coming by. And agree on Neal's situation. My daughters boyfriend is a big WVU guy and its been ugly back there for Neal. This year was already his show us or get out year and losing to Pitt again was a crusher and folks wanted him out pretty bad. But last week was a surpise bounce back so who knows if they finish strong. But Quisenberry can play.

Dat true!
Other circumstances contributed to it also but mainly boyle recruitment they do that alot to the surrounding counties around them it's no secret around this area all the other schools struggle to have a 500 record while they bring home championships every year

Provide proof of your recruiting allegations. They do get transfers, for sure, but alleging recruiting just reeks of jealousy and an attempt to diminish their accomplishments. Also, maybe those other schools should learn how to recruit if it is actually true. If they aren't breaking rules, the other schools need to figure it out for themselves.

For those who’ve seen him play a lot how does he compare to Wandale at the same stage? Size wise they seem similar.

I think jeffky (above) provided that evidence

Hoping he heads to UK.

Relax. I've been calling them BCRHS for years. Since my buddies daughter (Garrard Co) played soccer there 7-8 yrs ago. The majority of that team was from other than ...

Thoughts on if Brown is Fired, does he go back to being a high profile OC for a P% team or does he step down a notch and take a head coaching job at a G5 school. He might not have done enough to keep a job at a place the WVU, but he's done well enough that some programs out there might still take a flyer on him.

It's part of the effect that some of the counties surrounding Louisville have/had with X and Trinity being there. I grew up in Oldham County and they used to recruit out there. There were and still are a lot of good players for those schools who lived in Oldham County and would have made the Oldham County schools pretty competitive had they stayed.

A good question.

I don’t know Neal, but I am friends with folks very close to him.

He and his family have lived conservatively: the first year at WV, his friends I know went to some games and spent time with the family. Neal expressed his gratitude for a 7 figure job at his relatively young age, but told them, “no one knows how long these things will last.”

Should he not make it, I suspect he can do anything he wants . . . like buying a “farm or two” in Boyle County, and even being on the Boyle County staff. And I think he and Stoops are still on good terms, so . . . .

About the only spot I would not expect him to land is U of L.

Brown has as many lives as a cat at WVU. He keeps finding a way to a win when the seat is at the hottest. Wouldn’t be surprised if he managed to stay there as long as he wants.

I think
Generally kids this size don’t work…. TV Williams, Brandon White, Travis Tisdale, etc.
he may turn out to be different. He’s a very good player and if he works hard I think he could really succeed at this level. Just tough as nails for his size and may need a couple years. I like his game though.

Have to agree with you. I remember thinking that Michael “donut” Drennen was a can’t miss! I thought for sure if he didn’t work out at rb then he’d make a really good slot wr.

Let's cut to the chase. Does he flip from WVU to us ?
Not a lot of offers available at this point. If the staff gives him the green light he will. I just am not sure this is the best use of a scholarship, seems like the kind of kid we could get in December or February in the late period.
