Man I felt real old when he mentioned he grew up watching Diallo, Monk, & Fox as a kid. We are way past the days of Wall and Davis now..
I was still in college when those guys were playing. I drank pitchers with friends at one of the local watering holes and watched these guys play.
No kidding, and I go back even farther than that. Just call me, grandpa, I guess, at this point.
My first time hearing Mo and Denzel speak and I’m impressed. They are very well spoken, have a positive attitude and a smile on their face. The kind of guys that make great teammates.
Grandpa's are fun. We love the cats as much as any other person
I was on campus w/ the likes of Bowie, Walker, Bennett, etc...find a high school kid who knows those guys
What a great young man. Soft spoken and respectful. So glad he's on our side now
And in my experience, y'all can out-fish a lot of younger folks.

I must really feel old then I remember Delk , Mashburn, Walker , McCarty , Anderson, and those guys . Lol
I think the days of hiding our players from interviews are over. Pope says his first evaluation is communication. UL will just have to pick up the slack on recruiting those guys that talk like Vince.

This. Time really does fly post college. I was a freshman playing pickup ball at the Johnson center with Cuz and Bledsoe.

I was a lowly practice only player on the football team back then and we had some pretty competitive basketball v football runs in the seaton center gym from time to time tok
IIRC Riley jumped center to start games and such. He had some hops.
Was hampered some his senior season due to an off season back injury but yeah, he could still get up!

Shit I still remember where most of the early to mid 90s players were from.. Past 20 so years I don't know where very many came from.. Didnt stay here long enough to be able to remember..
I was there at that game at north Laurel.. Rondo had like 26 assists.. And the big guy was dunking everything.. Josh Smith I think?
Imagine this, I was still in college drinking on a cruise ship during Gerald Fitch and our beloved 2003 team that lost to UAB on a last second shot. An entire sports bar of people across the world cheering that the number one seed went down.

Thought turning 50 in April was nice.. Then got shingles on left side of my face and head end of May,, didn't even get time to get the vaccine when turn 50.. Took some herpie meds and they dried up in a week but now the left side of my face is paralyzed from the shingles.. Sucks,, lol.. Oh yea,, also my PSA level is 39 and gotta get a biopsy on my prostate.. The psa has been anywhere from 18-25 since 2018 but the 39 is highest its ever been.. Done all kinda blood tests and they show nothing.. Dr said only other thing to do is the biopsy.. Don't understand them going up my arse to do it though..

Me too Dave. Te night we lost to Texas Western was probably the toughest loss I can remember.
Just grin and bare it. lol Try to stay in shape the best you can for as long as you can. Our health will naturally dwindle but we can still enjoy the ride.
