Mitchell is soft. Uninterested in getting physical at any point. And I don’t like his effort here the last several games to be honest.
Yeah....Mitchell is better on defense then he shows. But also, if you don't to play zone (whidh is stupid)...wny not send a man to shade his side of court off dribble....or double down. Truly silly to not help more defensively by Cal's moronic coaching

Samuels outplayed all of our big guys, he’s got some offense, our bigs struggle to score unless it’s a dunk. If we don’t get more production from our bigs than we did tonight, we are not going very far.

Not exactly an offensive juggernaut either. If Tre were hurt and Thiero played 34mpg - Thiero would match Tre’s scoring average and out-rebound him, all while playing much better D.

Just speculating, but I think very few top players want to play for Cal now. He can't coach, doesn't really push his guys or hold them accountable, doesn't win anything anymore. IMO he has to beg player's camps to convince their guy to play for UK with the agreement that Cal "hides them" when necessary and takes it easy on the guys. What the heck else could it be?
he has done a lot of things well for us so far this year. he’s played too many minutes. he’s usually a good passer but has been turning it over. he’s also fell in love with shooting off the dribble. when he’s collected he’s a decent/good shooter. he’s not otherwise and he has developed a quick trigger. that’s not how he was earlier. he was waiting until he got it open, as a stretch four should.
He's on his fourth head coach so it's hard to believe that he wasn't taught how to play defense by any of them.

Fans goals and players goals are not the same.
They used to be but now when players say they want to go to X school to win a championship, it's just something that sounds good in interviews.

If you think Mitchell was bad, go back and watch Bradshaw. He never hustled, was out of position all night, and was so slow his guy would spin right past him. This was my first time seeing him play live and I wasn't impressed at all. He contributed nothing when he was on the court.
