I agree with what he is saying, NIL made things a lot harder on a lot of schools and we really don’t have the money and resources that some others might, but either you become savvy and find other ways to make money for your players to help the sports programs or as Mitch likes doing, just sitting back watching and waiting for someone to show him how to play.

Yeah honestly I’d be happy with 95% of it going to basketball and football. I know that’s not realistic but personally I’m not emotionally invested in any other sport. I follow baseball loosely and enjoy when we’re good, but don’t get upset if you suck whereas with basketball and football I’m all in every year. Other sports I don’t pay attention to at all unless we’re in the natty or something

No the resources are there. Mitch delayed it to the point that now UK is almost 2 years behind what the rest of conference is because he’s a little bitch that is scared to get in trouble. He was certain that the NCAA was going to come down on these collectives and now we are playing catch up after the ncaa said well we can’t do anything about it.

I didn’t hear it but I’m sure it’s exactly what I would’ve guessed it to be. I don’t expect him to say anything that totally undercuts stoops or anything nor is it reasonable that they are going to get rid of him. They can’t and Mitch isn’t even a guy that wants to. But to come on and say what was reportedly said just shows how antiquated both are. We aren’t 3-5 soon to be 3-6 because of NIL. It’s become the convenient excuse for coaches. It matters some but we aren’t losing to these teams because of that. It’s always going to be stoops answer though because if you can’t coach it up you have to say you need to buy better players.
