Miles Bridges might return to Michigan State

Mich St. will be good, but somewhat like UK that don't have many shooters on that team. They will have some beef on their frontline and obviously we will have great size but not real big guys. They will prob be preseason 1 though.
MSU certainly looks good enough to make it to the Final Four.

UK is going to have have by far the best depth in the country (assuming Bamba and Johnson come). Mich St. will have a nice starting five as well as Zona and Kansas, but if Cal would press and take advantage of the great depth and athletes we have it will be a hell of a year.

I probably watched 9-10 Michigan St games, and Bridges is good, but not quite as good as I thought he would be.
That being said, Mich St is going to be really good next season.

Kid is doing what he wants to do, good for him.

Yeah, he could take the money but he could also guarantee himself even more by improving his stock to top 10 or better.

This is bullish!t

Luck of the draw. Apparently he would have returned if he was at UK as well as Izzo told him to go pro according to all sources. It is what it is. Again, Izzo doesn't do well with more expectations so doubt they do much next season, just IMO.

I honestly see nothing wrong with his decision, some areas of his game can improve. MSU going to be tough next year.

I do think the home team angle plays a bit more into staying at MSU than if he was at UK. Plus he mentioned winning a title. Maybe you guys win it all this year with him and he's gone. Who knows, really.

maybe he can learn not to throw it in the 3rd row when under pressure. but at the end of the day, matt mcquad is their 2 guard. so msu is going to msu.

Money is really overrated.

The more you have, the more it creates problems.

That's very debatable. Intelligent people do not have thoe problems. The problem is a lot of these guys going pro are not money savvy and have no idea how to save because they never had money before. I doubt a guy like KAT is having many problems with his money....because he is a smart guy.

And if Cal had the season Izzo just had with a top 3 recruiting class, you'd all want him fired.

Not to mention Cal has had as much success in eight seasons at Kentucky as Izzo has had in his career, but the internet stays on their knees for one while pretending the other can't coach.

Gonzo, It's obvious by all the post you have, that you sometimes put something on here, even when you have NO validity to back it up. I haven't seen one post that wants Cal fired. I know I don't, but UK fans are very knowledgeable about basketball. You may not be, and I don't propose to know whether you are or not. However, I do know basketball, and the item I talked about in my previous post, on this subject, I believed Cal even commented about it, and basically took the blame. When you have two 30 second turnovers, a TO needs to be called, and straighten the play out.
Cal likes to run the dribble drive. It is very difficult to run, if the middle is clogged. Against UNC, we had Willis close to the paint with Bam. Wouldn't it have been better to have Willis working around the three point line, therefore his man would be there with him, since Willis is a three point threat, Bam on the right side of the paint, since Fox is left handed, and three guards outside the three point line. If Bam sets a screen, he should immediately roll to the basket so the driver,Fox or Briscoe, who beat his man off the screen, can take it to the hole, dish off to Bam, or kick it out to Willis.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

That is probably why Cal only wins over 80% of his games. He needs to listen to you if he wants to win 100% of the time.

MSU looks Very good now.

Bridges gets to move to the 3 spot with Jackson coming in.

G Winston
G Langford
F Bridges
F Jackson
F Ward

That's a great starting five. Still a little young. Not a great outside shooting team. They still lack depth inside. McCoy would help that, if he goes there. I'm guessing he moves Ward to the bench if he comes.

They do have some holes. Still, they look really good on paper.

You haven't seen posts from people who say they're tired of Cal and this era and ready to move on and that it'll never work?

You're more fortunate in the posts you see than I am.

If Cal had the season Izzo just had, with a highly ranked recruiting class and a down Big 10, it's hardly a stretch to think this board would go nuts saying he can't coach.

Meanwhile, Izzo is worshipped as the x and o genius that Cal could never be.

Definitely needs to take the next step on defense, but offensively as a leader and creator, I would take him over Quade Green.
I would at least give Green a few games before I would pronounce someone better than him. The Alexander kid we have coming in may be better than Green anyway.
