Cal really shat that one away. Miami had help though, two weeks in a row they were saved by replay.

So, you CAN launch, lower your head, and smash into an opponent’s helmet with the crown of your own helmet . . . if you are your conferences’ only reasonable hope for the Play Offs.
That video could be used as the perfect example of targeting!!
Pretty egregious no-call, glad to see talking heads call them out. If that play wasn't targeting there will never be another call.

You can say the same thing about every conference’s top teams, they will benefit from the whistle.
I don't remember a situation this obvious. The targeting call was textbook targeting. Leading with the head, launching, head to head contact. It had three elements when it only needed one.
To replay it and still not call it is beyond belief.
Then why didn't the refs call a hold on Vandy so they could give Bama the ball back yesterday to win?
Miami has benefitted greatly from 2 bs calls last 2 games. They are gonna start losing thoigh. Acc and little 12 are probably a combined 3 teams in playoffs. 2 champs and 1 at large.
I went to bed around midnight just knowing that Miami was going to lose. Imagine my surprise... However, no way was I going to stay up that late regardless of how exciting that game turned out. That's one thing I miss about living in CO - I could watch West Coast games and not have to stay up all night. Other than that, not so much.
I think the conference champion gets in, but their only hope of getting 2 in is having 2 1 loss teams. The hit on the QB was a textbook targeting and was game deciding.

Yeah, went to cabin for a few days to check on storm damage. Phone service is touch and go there at best of times. Luckily we didn't have any to the cabin, stands or feeders. But power was off for days and freezer thawed. Lost about 40 lb of catfish for the fish fry we have during hunting season. But lucky compared to many, got a foot of rain and 90mph winds there. At home just got 4-5 inches of rain.
Just getting ready for some cool weather.
