Any word how Sheron /Wade are looking like in bowl game preparation. Hoping they let them both show what they've got instead of being hand off robots.

I trust Coen as well. To be fair, Levis had a very small resume to examine. Mertz has quite a resume and most of it isn’t pretty.
Passing for 8k yards with only 8 INTs is not a bad fit. We need a QB that can escape the pocket and still be effective completing a pass downfield while doing so. 70% completions is impressive.
I haven't seen anywhere that McCall isn't able to complete downfield passes.
I need to watch more film of the 3, but I like McCall best of the 3. The other 2 are good, but I think McCall fits what we need and have excelled at best. Not sure it's what Coen works with best, though.
I don't have any say in the matter. Mertz might be better if he had the line we had in 2021 (just like we would have been this year).

You're right there. I was tempted to reply, "Levi's what?" to this but managed to restrain myself. I've seen that so much that I have to figure it is an autocorrect in some phones.

the stats on Mertz are close to Levis for 2022. Weren't both at 19/10 TD to int? Levis was rated a little higher of course. Plus in his film, I think every pass I saw was like a 25yarder, besides a few screens. we could say Levis, was injured, but Levis had Crod where Wisky had nothing close. All in all, we take this guy with 2 years left and it's a no brainer.
The rumor from Auburn fans is the visit was cancelled for McCall due to academics.
What, was he applying to their veterinary school? This is THE Auburn... SEC Auburn, right? I didn't think academics was ever an issue if they really wanted a player. They must have figured out he wasn't the style of QB they wanted, like some on here were wondering the last 2 days.
