I’m not entirely sold on eaglestaff. Seems like a shot chucker who is very inefficient. But if pope wants him in willing to give him a chance

Wasn’t memanboy particularly inaccurate last portal season? I feel like he had all kinds of predictions and linking people to Kentucky and they didn’t pan out? Am I mistaken?

Depends on what his role is for me. The brea role I like it. I don’t want him being the first option type of role. Plenty of better portal players will become available for that

Doesn’t have Nelson’s size. If he’s 6’9”, then ok.
My question with eaglestaff is if he can get open playing through the contact he would face in the SEC

Walter Clayton Jr. averaged 2 apg at Iona, hell only averaged 2.6 at Florida last year. I would say he is a "OK" PG. He and Sears have translated pretty GD well to the SEC.
WAYYYYY too early to start listing EVERY player that hits the portal. Truth be had, we will only zone in on about 10-12 TOTAL, address needs first, wants after that. First on the agenda is PF / 4 along with SF. PG if we can land a top notch guy whether it b mid major, high major, no major. There is talented guys to be had. MY #1 IF available is 6-9 240 pound forward Yexel Lendeborg, UAB. 18/11/4/ 1.8 blocks, 54% FG. Doesn't take a lot of 3s (less than 2 per game. But he is a scoring / rebounding machine with great handles and elite vision. Averages 4 assist at 6-9. I just wonder if UAB is a big enough school for him to come from ? I mean they are a mid major and all.

I assume the staff will cast a wide portal net. Last year they got a late start and had to deal with being a little unknown. Now they got plenty of time and a whole season to show and sell guys on. I expect it will be a fun offseason.

That was what I thought. I thought I saw comments comparing him to PFs which took me by surprise. Work has been far too busy for me to keep up with everything today. Look forward to updates

I would argue that he’s better than Jaxson Robinson now.
Lendeborg is a really good PF option to keep an eye on. A couple of NBA mock draft sites I looked at had him going in the 2nd round. Could the desire to move up in the draft + NIL money entice him to return to college? I don’t know the typical calculus that players go through to make the decision or especially the math involved in this decision, but I think we have a few posters who have a pretty good understanding of how it’s often weighed out (and many more like me that have no clue but will give WAGs like an authority
).Of course he is, Robinson is hurt and can’t play. I’d think the healthy player is better NOW as well.
