What's crazy to me is just how far Nebraska has sunk as a football program. To go from a perineal powerhouse to UofL level recruiting classes is terrible. What happened there???
Who in hell wants to go to school in Nebraska when they can go somewhere with a pulse. You got to remember back in those days most players went to school within 300 miles of their home. Today the top schools get players from all over the Country. ND was the only school in those days with Nationwide appeal and that is because of the Catholic faith.

One of our better recruits back then was Micah Johnson. That dude was a stud. I thought he would be a serviceable NFL player.
 
Remember Micah Johnson? He was one of the best HS players in America coming out of HS and played well here. He did have some injury problems though. I thought he had some NFL potential but it takes many things to go well for that to happen.

Played wrong position for a pro career... which was his decision.
