Not the fans, not the traditional media, not the alternative/KSR type media, not the boosters, not the refs, not other coaches as far as I can tell, not the AD, not the school administration, not the players, not the recruits, not Nike/Phil, who is left?

I went to UK with Joe. We are in the same fraternity. I have not talked to Joe in years. If he cares about UK the way when he was a student fromHazard, he ain’t happy. He gives support to Stoops cause Stoops want to win football games for UK.

I had no idea Joe Craft was from Hazard. That's cool, I've got family up that way.

cal is actually considered a voice of reason with NIL . He’s not about guarantees , etc . UK isn’t a good place for people looking to coast and get NIL. Step up , be a stud and be a guy that companies like Beats , AT&T and others want in their advertising. We’re losing guys because it’s ‘risky ‘ having NIL tied to your performance and marketability

So basically our boosters won't help pay NIL because of the coach? I'm sorry but as fans they should support UK basketball and want to help provide whatever to get the best team.

They’re tried of him. And I can’t blame him. The emperor has no clothes and it’s obvious except to the most heavy of Cal butt kissers.

This has all the marking of his final days in Lexington. Roughly 300 days left in the tenure I’d wagerunless a complete 180 happens.

Maybe we assumed a “needle moving recruit” meant needle moving in a good way. We eat first at the panic offer buffet.

Right on target. The big money people that were around at the end of Coach Rupp’s time, Joe B., Eddie, and Rick would put together the largest amount of NIL in the country IF the UK basketball coach first and foremost mission was winning championships for the University of Kentucky PERIOD.

It is very clear that all along from day -one despite what he said that his first priority was not winning championships. Only after he won it in 2012 did he stop pretending. Those of us that go back to Adolph Frederick Rupp never cared about players going to the NBA. We were glad if they did but BY GAWD they came to the University to win championships and get a degree. Coach Rupp helped all his former players after graduation get their non-basketball careers started including paying for dental school for a couple of players that I knew of. There were probably others. I know Joe B. did as well.

If Cal had come here and 100% been focused on winning championships like the others before them. If he truly embraced the program, university, the fan base, the big boosters, etc. Cal would have been lovingly embraced as he was in the beginning until now. He chose not to.

As a narcissist he is NOT WRONG.It is beyond his comprehension to be wrong.

As much as it breaks our hearts from Fulton to Ashland, from Covington to Williamsburg, Louisville to Franklin, Elkorn City to Morganfield, and all other points between the Mississippi River and Big Sandy River, the Virginia border, the Ohio River and the Tennessee border and beyond, we have 98% realized that until the current coach is gone we cannot think about starting the rebuild. It is not going to happen.

As much as the younger fan base quickly dismisses the need to bring a coach in with ties to the program there has NEVER been a time when that needs to happen since Joe B. followed Coach Rupp. Frank Vogel as you all know just signed a multi-year deal with the Suns. Would he break it to come home? Father Time has passed the best who was always given first right of refusal following Joe B. but the timing was never right. DC could have stepped in this year but his time is ticking as well.

When the day comes that the vacancy occurs, there is going to have to be a gathering of former players pre-Cal, and Boosters, and have rededication to the program. A rising from the ashes. Only then will OUR program come back and begin the climb back to where we all expect us to be.

Coach Hall used to always say UK basketball
was a way of life. Our love and our way of life has been disrupted severely. We can only hope OUR program can be restored.

Sad he’s resorted to stealing an 11 year old’s interview with Cal smh. For those who missed: kid calls in praising Cal and says he took time out to give kid an interview over the phone.

MJ immediately asks the kid if he can publish it on his site. Sure, he’ll spin it as simply being nice and giving this kid a cool opportunity. But those of us who know the real Matt Jones know that this is all simply so they can continue their whole shtick of Cal hating them and they’ll spin it as “look, Cal won’t talk to us so we had to get a kid to do the work” and they’ll just think it’s so hilarious and Andy, Casey, Chester, and John short will eat it up and scream RATINGS!!!! What a joke he and that show is.
