You got it old man 😆wait, is this Dan Langhi's son?
if so, I instantly just feel significantly older...
I agree, he's as complete a player fundamentally as any sophmore as any I've seen that size in a long time. He 's probably going to going grow a couple more inches, if he does, with his speed and agility he would be a nightmare to contain ss a small forward or shooting guard. I assume all the big time schools will be after him in a couple of years. He's more impressive in person than on film, I've seen him live a couple times.

Marshall County has a long history of sending kids to Vandy. Barry Goheen, Langhi, and there was at least one other whose name escapes me at the moment.

I thought Dan Hall was from Betsy Lane ?Dan Hall and Aaron Beth.
Marshall Co. Dan played at Vandy in the 90's. Betsy Layne Dan played at UK in the 70's before transferring to Marshall University.I thought Dan Hall was from Betsy Lane ?
If a kid is really in to both sports (basketball) but academics for his future, it would be very difficult to question the kids decision. As much as I love UK, there is no comparison to a Vandy degree compared to any other SEC school.Aaron Beth?
yes, and each seemed to "haunt" UK most every time they playedMarshall County has a long history of sending kids to Vandy. Barry Goheen, Langhi, and Dan Hall all went to Vandy from Marshall County in the 80s and 90s.
The Boozer twins didn't already make you feel that way?wait, is this Dan Langhi's son?

I'm originally from Murray and used to spend a lot of time in LBL.Marshall County is a special place. I spent most of my early days on Kentucky Lake. Best place on earth for me.
Kid has already had a 40-point game.I wanted his dad too.
How the hell is that still in my brain when I can’t even remember why I went into the kitchen, lol . I wish I could replace all the useless crap with something productive.Marshall Co. How would anyone that hasn’t seen X-rays of his growth plates know if he was going to grow anymore, lol . Kind of a weird thing to say .Unfortunately I don't think he's going to be a good fit here. I don't think he's going to grow that much more and he isn't nearly fast enough to play on the wing in the SEC. Good talent and great high school player, but his game would likely be better suited for a mid major.
Of course I would of likely said that about either of our current Kentucky boys, so I am probably wrong.
This is why I’ve been saying for decades that we need a much bigger field. Not to let any more little schools in, but to let in all the worthy P5 schools that get screwed every year to make room for the automatic bids.I still harbor great anger about the incompetent 2000 committee. (Vanderbilt was well above the bubble, like an 8- or 9-seed, in all reasonable projections. But the committee didn't plan for Arkansas to win the SECT and had already exchanged political favors to get a crappy at-large in from each midmajor conference with representation. Needless to say there was no SEC member, which will never happen now with the rule changes.)
CBS listed Dan Langhi among "players to watch" in the upcoming tournament on the day of the selection show, for crying out loud!
Anyway since Dan had his shot at the tournament taken away I'll be cheering for his son even if he does go to UK.![]()
He’s not a middle schooler, he’s sixteen years old. The Anthony Davis’s of the world who hit another growth spurt late in their teen years are few and far between. What a weird thing for you to comment on. 🙄How would anyone that hasn’t seen X-rays of his growth plates know if he was going to grow anymore, lol . Kind of a weird thing to say .
Key being "at that level". It looks like Pope likes to play a fairly deep bench, so the team can't afford to have guys on the bench because they were born in Hazard and "know what it means to be a Kentucky Wildcat".Ksr mentioned him yesterday and hope we can snag all the d-1 talent in the state every time there’s a kid that can play at that level. Definitely someone that sounds like he will look good in blue.
