markelle fultz uk next committ ???

I would like to see this class:

G Fox
G Monk
F Bridges
F Killeya-Jones
F Ayton

Or if Ayton does not reclassify:

G Fox
G Monk
F Bridges
F Gabriel
F Killeya-Jones

But I think we end up with:

G Fox
G Fultz
G Monk
F Bridges
F Killeya-Jones

And I am good with that, if it happens.

I would like to see Fox, Monk, and Bridges commit next for UK. If we can get these 3 to add with SKJ and then maybe a Fultz or Alkins and then if Ayton can reclassify to 2016 to go with Matthews, Mulder, Wynyard, and Humphries off the Bench. I can see now why Coach Calipari said that the 2016 Recruiting Class could be his best at UK!

FULTZ is considered the best guard in this class according to draft people. Don't know how u could want any other guard ahead of him. Hes projected 6th in the Draft after his freshman year right now.

Most see Monk as the better SG prospect.

Ill take Alkins over Fultz and Monk.

Agreed. I've seen Alkins and Fultz play and I'll take Rawle. He has a much better shot, has good handles and has that killer mentality to put teams away. With Fultz you will get some great games and some subpar games (think of Goodwin without all the crazy shot attempts).

Sorry guys but fultz is significantly better than Goodwin.
Way better passer and way better feel for the game. Goodwin would never had been compared to dangelo Russell.
He is a superstar waiting to happen.

I hope Cal sells dribble drive to these guys with Bridges at the 4, Alkins or Fultz at the 3, Monk at the 2, and Fox at the 1. Let SKJ/Humphries/Wynyard battle it out for the 5 spot.

UK would have three high level ball handlers on the court at any point, and a 4 man who would cause mismatches for opponents.

I think his bulk and bulldozer type play is more intriguing.
Monk>Alkins>Fultz. Obviously, Calipari only recruits very high upside prospects. Out of Monk, Alkins, Fultz, I like Monk's game best. It can be argued that Monk is the best pure offensive player in the entire class, a little smaller, quicker version of Jamal Murray. Monk has some things to learn on the defensive end, but he has enough size and athleticism to become a plus defensive player in Calipari's system. Alkins and Fultz fall under the category of rapidly improving prospects whose stock is climbing. Alkins is a little bigger and a little more physical. Both can score, but Alkins will probably become the better defender. All the tea leaves are saying Monk and Fox are Kentucky bound, and I believe that right now. Ulis, Mulder, and Hawkins will come back next year. If we get both Monk and Fox, then would Alkins or Fultz see themselves fitting in? I doubt it.

You are probably right because of the way Cal covets size.

Personally, I would rather have a big wing at the 4 spot (Bridges or Gabriel).
Assuming Ayton does not reclassify the only other Center we have been linked to is Bolden. However he is a VERY hot commodity being THE post recruit for both Kansas and Duke for next year and Alabama also is a good position recruiting him.

I'm doubtful.

UK needs frontcourt players for next year.

That won't stop us from taking a guard who wants to commit

Maybe Cal isn't willing to wait for Monk, but traditionally, he has waited on guys of a certain caliber.

Waiting on guys put us in a pickle in this most recent recruiting class. Cal has changed strategies in the past when he's run into a problem, so I wouldn't assume he'll continue to operate the same way.

wake forest is not ahead of uk for giles. that is hilarious. duke and uk have been neck and neck for a year now.

I see it as a very nice problem to have. So many great guards that we are in with we can't really lose no matter which direction Cal decides to go. We all have our favorite prospect out of the bunch, but truthfully, they are all close in talent. Fox is the obvious point guard that we have to have. After that, they are all close.

Well they are still in it lets put it that way. Anthony Davis will surely help that weekend .

Bridges will play on the wing.

That could be at the 3 or at the 4, depending on the personnel. He will likely spend time at both spots.

But he will play on the perimeter regardless.

Ukr has the nc connections, no doubt. I do think it's silly for him to think it's 100% lock for duke or wake. No such thing as a lock in recruiting. Things could change so quickly in recruiting it's pointless to argue about it day after day, thread after thread.

Bridges wants to play the 3, but wherever he decides to go, he will end up playing most at the 4. That is the spot on the court that he will play his best at. At his size and with his quickness, it would be crazy not to play him at the 4.

I think if Cal could pick five it would be:

G Fox
G Monk
F Bridges
F Killeya-Jones
F Ayton(reclassified)

In a recent 247 article I believe Bolden is quoted saying that his leaders are Duke and Kentucky followed by KU, I believe.

I don't know which 5 Calipari would pick in a perfect world, but I am 99.9% sure that Harry Giles would be #1 on his wish list. Malik Monk is #2. I believe Fultz's attention swung to Washington a couple of weeks ago when he realized Calipari will sign Monk. We did not lose Fultz, we just didn't prioritize him. I believe our class will be Killeya-Jones, Wynyard, Fox, Monk, Bridges, plus another big. Calipari would like Alkins to join that group, but don't know if there will be enough playing time to suit Alkins. There is no evidence that Ayton will reclassify. Unless Ayton says something solid about reclassifying, it is just another internet rumor.

I don't consider Giles a viable option. I hope I am wrong, but I do not see us getting Giles.

And if Ayton reclassifies, Cal will probably prioritize Ayton over Giles. Ayton is considered by most to be the best player in HS regardless of class. At the very least, they are an "either or" situation.

Why would Fultz go to Washington? There is almost no exposure to media due to the time zone. I don't get it at all.

Nope. Giles will attend BBM. This will be his 2nd BBM trip. I don't think anyone considers Kentucky the favorite at this point. But if Giles wasn't seriously considering Kentucky, he would not be doing this. We have a decent shot to get him, and his recent decision to play his senior year of high school out of state helps our chances. There isn't a high school player in the country that Calipari will prioritize over Giles if he thinks he can get him. Everyone pretty much agrees Giles is the best high school big in many years.

Maybe he just wants to see Drake and have a good time
