We aren’t out of it with Jasper yet. We do have some ground to make up though. Wouldn’t be a huge loss IMO as I believe there to be better options. Losing out on an in state player that highly ranked though would be a blow to the “image” though.

Great news. I don't need Pope to be the best recruiter. Just wanted to see talent with ability to compete for national championships. Didn't want to see Joker level failing. This is good evidence he's not that. Now, pull one from out of state or top portal, and we can predict multi Final Fours and a continuation of Kentucky supremacy.
Pope, getting it done, we now have 3 Kentucky high schools' kids, let's make it 4 with Johnson. This alone should make our fans happy, all of them have been highly recruited kids who know what it means to wear the blue.

Actually, just having KY kids alone shouldn't keep the fans happy for long. Everyone wants them to be KY kids, but they need to be good enough to play here.
Said that what separates him from all other centers is his ability to score from a lot of different spots on the floor. Said to have good footwork also. Without shoes he is 6-10.5. With shoes just a hair under 7-0.
I have honestly never been worried about recruiting. AB3 and Jason Hart are known commodities in recruiting circles.
