Not sure there is much to worry about currently. They got some decent players in their current recruiting class but still ended up 45th on HS recruit rankings. They also got good transfers but almost every college team does now in the current system.

They will improve but it will be interesting next year as their fans will be expecting at least 8-9 wins with their insanely easy schedule.

Adidas paid for this last class before Sattefield left
it is not the coach that is paying for these players

Well, I’m not worried about their 5’11” QB Adidas brought for them this year. Did you guys catch him in All-American game today? SMH. Didn’t look like he belonged out there. He may become a College All-America, Brohm is a miracle worker hear tell, but I wouldn’t bet a cup of warm piss on it.

I watched it until the two commits announced and from what I saw the West side O-line couldn’t stop the East side defense. Seemed like the west side QB’s were constantly under pressure.

Also just for perspective. Of the teams that will be on UK’s schedule come when these kids are contributing (includes Texas and OK) ULs current class ranks 15 out of 16 only beating Vandy. We have a lot of other teams to worry about. Look up not down.
Small class. That’s why.

Kinda but not really. If you add in the transfers UL’s class improves nationally to 30th and is more in line numbers wise with other schools. But against the teams UK plays it is still only ahead of Vandy, Missouri, and Miss St.

Going by average star ratings Louisville is just behind Tennessee for 7th in the SEC. We’re happy with our class, y’all are happy with your class, we’re all happy.
Getting TE Jamari Johnson to stick yesterday and turn down Oregon was big and getting WR Kevin Coleman in the Portal -(2022 Consensus Top 70 Overall Player) eases the loss of WR DeAndre Moore to Texas.

As far as 5* LB T.J. Capers our new commit ... as someone said above it is a very long way to December

Brohm has never really been a recruiting juggernaut. But, he is certainly a coaching upgrade (how much of one is up for debate).

Their schedule next year is so easy (no Clemson and no FSU), so I would expect them to have a pretty good record.

If you want to worry about this, you may need a hobby. Once in a while, other teams on our schedule will sign good players.

Someone posted that adidas is paying kids just to commit early to spearhead a class. They say hey…. Here is 5k just to commit. You can look around and do what you want in the end but commit early. Help us recruit. Then its cool to decommit late. That’s what happened with 3 of the recruits they signed real early. They decommit late.

That is false info on the Adidas part. Now you also have to admit Louisville went through a coaching change late in the process. Moore the WR probably would have still ended up at Texas but the #1 RB had already sent some of his belonging to Louisville before the coaching change. The 3rd recruit was one of the lower rated recruits at the time and did follow Satt to UC.

How did Louisville become the Adidas cash cow? Seems like there would be other schools ahead of them in the pecking order.

On the other hand, why can’t UK get the same sort of treatment from Nike? I get the Oregon thing, but I would have thought Cal and all the NBA players that he’s produced, would have gravitated them our way at a higher level. If I was Barnhart I would be renegotiating a sweeter deal or looking elsewhere to one up Louisville.

Yeah they are just knocking each other over to go hang by the rail road track on campus.

Barnhardt, Barnhardt?

Isn't he the one that did ZERO for UK football facilities his first DECADE here until we ended up with the TWO two win seasons and the OTHER football programs started throwing crazy dollars at us?

Other football programs started throwing crazy money at us. LOL at your ignorance. Specifically which programs three crazy money at us and how much was it? Oh wait, you can’t answer any questions about your claims because you’re lying.

Ask these frauds questions about their ridiculous claims and watch how fast they run.

While it has not yet happened on the field, we can tell UL fans are becoming more confident, as they start to post here with more frequency again. Been a while. A long while.
They post pretty frequently in the offseason and during the season over the last few years, then the actual game shuts them up for a couple months at least. I expect more of the same next season.

How many times did Brohm win Big10?
How many times did Brohm play in Rose Bowl?
How many times did Brohm play in playoffs?
How many NC has the Big10 won since the playoffs began?
Bottom line Brohm overrated and so is Big10.

Bring on Brohm!!!!

Mitch dropped the ball, plain and simple.

He has us locked into our apparel deal with Nike until 2025, we extended in 2017 for 8 more years for 47 million. https://www.kentucky.com/news/local/education/article177171821.html

Meanwhile, down i-64, at the same time in 2017, UL inked a deal with Adidas worth 160 million over 10 years. As a matter of fact UL"s deal is the highest in the country as of 2021-2022. We aren't even in the top 20, you'll find teams like Arizona St, NC St, and even UConn ahead of us. https://www.bizjournals.com/baltimore/news/2021/09/21/ncaa-apparel-deals.html

That's why Adidas is laying out cash for NIL deals for UL fball players, they want to get a decent return on the apparel investment they've made in them. Nike has no reason to do anything special for us, we're just another one of their 68 schools that they sponsor. https://boardroom.tv/ncaa-football-apparel-brand-partners/

I'm not sure how we let ourselves fall do far down in the pecking order, but there is absolutely no reason that teams like IU and Arizona St and UL should be getting more apparel money than us. When it's time to renew, we should be listening to ALL the apparel companies and getting the best deal out there and making sure there are NIL incentives built into it. Innovative thinking is what is needed, not just sticking to the status quo.

I’ve been posting here throughout the Satterfield days. I don’t hide when Louisville loses.

UL fans should be excited and talkative this offseason. they have an easy 9-3 2023 even if Brohm does very little improvement beyond what Satt had them at. Incredibly favorable schedule, in what was already the 5th most difficult out of 5 power conferences.

Like I said with the kid that got the UofL tattoo then went to I believe A&M.

This kids either really dumb academically and may notevenmake iton campus right away, getting a bag just to commit or is going somewhere else.

Why the fk would ANYONE ranked that high want to go to a thug school like UofL?

Maybe Mayor of Louisville and Kentucky QB Will Levis should check into this before he heads out.
