Lunardi's latest. Still 13 SEC teams, UK a 4 seed

If we go 3-6 like Kenpom seems to think we will, we are going to be sitting near that 8-10 seed line unless we get smoking hot in the SEC tournament.

I'm not seeing Tennessee as a #1. The only non-conference win over a ranked opponent was Baylor in Knoxville. They did beat Illinois, but they are no longer ranked. They're only 6-4 in SEC, and have two terrible losses to Florida by 30, and at home to a severely undermanned UK.

As I understand it, Lunardi bases his projections on how teams will finish the season, not where they are at the moment. So he is likely projecting UK to finish somewhere around 9-9 and still be a 4-seed.

A lot of the bracket matrix guys still have us as a 4 as well. And they go by where you are today.

Beating South Carolina won't help us, but losing will ABSOLUTELY hurt us.
UT probably won't hurt us, but a win definitely helps.

Need to take care of business @Texas and vs Vandy.

I think a 4 seed is pretty safe as long as we do what we should. A 3 seed is very doable. I think a 2 seed is getting tougher. We need to run the table or only lose 1.

Honestly, I'll just be ecstatic if we get healthy going into the SEC tournament and look like the team from November. If we can do that, seeding be darned.

I saw an espn headline basically insinuating we’re barely in the tournament right now. I figured it was clickbait and didn’t open it.

I hope all of that plays out and honestly, I’ll be ecstatic about 9-9 in the SEC with our injuries and play lately. We need to get healthy and figure out how to be better on the defensive end of the floor or we are going to see a quick ending to our season.

on unrelated note i killed a biG 8 pointer in west ky wma. got a tag on his mount that says 'CHIEF PADUKE'

I'd take an 8 seed right now. Heck, Cal did it one year and made it interesting in the tourney.

I think the pieces are there to make a run, if we healthy.....man we need a pg that is healthy.

And as they say in academics, those that redeem themselves tend to have a positive trend in their efforts.

Can't give up yet, but if we somehow mess up against south carolina, then it just screams that we cant compete with the big boys.
