Love her or not that girl can shoot!

Which is completely irrelevant.

The way we play at home and guard shooters she would probably put 40 on us in Rupp. 😄

Seriously though, girl can shoot it. Definitely the most exciting woman's player in a bit.

Currently most definitely outside or maybe Bronny James.

Wanting to actually see them play she is the biggest name in College basketball. Juju Watkins may end up taking the claim when it’s all said and done .

The Men’s game is desperately lacking star power
Shaedon Sharpe would be the most talked about mens player of the past 5 years like Zion and AD were. Had he played in college. Makes me sick typing that but it's true.

She probably has a chance to be the GOAT of women players in the WNBA.
I don’t know about that. That’s a tall task.

Taurasi, Bird, Swoopes, Miller, Parker, Leslie, Aja Wilson, Stewart, etc.

Great, great players. And more on the way.

Great coaching for the women’s teams in college and the pros.

Very entertaining basketball.

I totally agree...some great ones that you listed. But none of them can do what Caitlin can do.

I respect Caitlin as I seen clips an a little here an there. Still trouble getting into women's ball . Alrhough I remember watching some of the Summitt - Geno battles 20 or so years ago. That was solid.

Cool so don’t watch it. Every time it’s mentioned on this board the internet tough guys come flooding in to proudly proclaim they don’t watch it like anyone gives a crap. Some of you seem triggered by the mere existence of women’s basketball ❄️❄️❄️
I am definitely triggered. I like being triggered. My wife likes me being triggered

Is it? I bet it increases the probability of the ball going through the hoop.
There’s a whole 1 inch difference between a men’s and women’s ball but the reason for the difference is the size of hands between the genders. Most of her shots that go in never touch rim so the ball size is hardly why she shoots it so well.

Except when morons want to act like she could play in the NBA. And before you reply to that...yes...I've seen MANY on the internet dumb enough to believe she could.

Here is an absolute fact:

ANY 5 NBA players could beat 5 Caitlin Clarks 200-0. Or 500-0. Or 1000-0.

That being said, she's talented and entertaining. I just get annoyed when people stretch the truth. Sorry but not sorry at all.
If they defended her like they do each other, she would get her points (double digits) from wide open 3’s. In no way would who she guarding not go off for 30+. But I think no guy would want to be the one she scores much on, and so they would guard her closely outside to where she might only score a basket or 2 in 20+ min.

The weight differs as well.

I’ve always found it curious that I used a men’s ball in grade school, but adult women used a different sized ball. If 11 to 12 year old boys could use a men’s ball, certainly adult women could too. The hoop is the same height, The rim has the same radius, and tge court is the same size despite other physical differences.

I don’t see how you can be a fan of the game and not watch her. Most impressive player I’ve ever seen in the women’s game and even the last few years in the men’s game. I don’t watch women’s basketball much, but if she’s on, it’s must see for me.

Do they still do that though for kids?
I think now you do see a lot of youth leagues using lower (than 10') rims. Same thing. Of course the courts are the same, because they are mostly used for all age groups (multi-use); that would be a cost and logistical nightmare to have different court dimensions for different age groups.

Also, you were going to eventually have to use a men's ball (and men have larger hands than women). But a smaller ball would have been better for your development as a ball to large (for your hand size) or to heavy could have helped cause bad form on your shots.

I think it could be a more entertaining game, if women played on a 9'6 rim, possibly even 9'.
