Louisville starter Jalen Johnson pleads guilty to marijuana possession

Six month suspension starting now, they run a tight ship over there
You always want a your violation to happen in the Spring/Summer so you can get one of these off-season suspensions. Like when Jameis Winston stole the crablegs and was suspended from a few baseball games. Worked like a charm.

Jaylen " Pot Head" Johnson pleaded guilty in Woodford District Court to Marijuana possesion and driving without a license plate
How stupid do you need to be to drive without a license plate :chairshot: and then do dope Really good way to get noticed..But Lil Brother players are not known for being mental giants..:confused:

Marijuana is legal in the largest POPULATED state in the United States.... California.
If your putting people in jail over weed possession your doing it to MAKE MONEY off of them ...nothing more. Its a damn racket.
Illegal marijuana makes Kentucky officials alot of money apparently and they aint having legal weed in this RED controlled state. The state government tends to think they make more cash by having it illegal than legal. They also probably got ''Liquor money'' floating around making sure weed stays illegal. Legal weed might cut down on liquor sales in the state and the country lol. The old guard, Mr. Alcohol, aint cool with legal weed you see.

If your a weed smoker or a democrat your supposed to move out of this state and head west. That's a fact. Your people live on the west coast.

But let's not act like he's using hardcore drugs I barely consider it a drug at this point. Yes I know the definition of what a drug is. But it's not like actual drugs out there that ruin people. Pot is not a big deal. He can easily come back from this.
its the stupidity of it...Pot with NO PLATE...very stupid, not very bright

No big deal. I don't consider it as lethal as alcohol. Most folks on pot get pulled over for driving 20 in a 35 mph zone.
I don't think it's a deal period. Big or small. I just find it amusing some of the so-called fans on this board act like other teams players just became members of the Mexican drug cartel because they got busted with some pot.

Jameis Winston had an agreement with someone but thats a whole other violation.

Pot is now en vogue, isn't it? I hear from multiple people anytime it's ever mentioned that it's nothing. But it does alter your mind, doesn't it? It does slow your reflexes. And the biggest thing of all is that it often is a gateway to worse drugs. I was just told by a guy who went on a 6 month trip that it started with weed but it ended a long way from there. If you could guarantee me a person wouldn't become an addict of meth, cocain, heroine, or something else, after starting to smoke pot, I'd be all for it. I will admit, it varies from person to person, in regard to whether it's a gateway drug or if they get addicted. Alcohol can be worse than weed, when a person let's it control them.

Bottom line for me is this: anytime a person has to medicate himself to deal with life, there's a deeper problem. And these substances aren't the answer, in my opinion. I have no interest in arguing. Think what you will. That's just my 2 cents.

I completely disagree with all this but you have to right to your opinion. Pot for me is a miracle drug for many different reasons ( biggest is I don't have to take harmful , life destroying pain killers due to it ) but the biggest most salient point is in a country where alochol is legal , which kills people every day , then pot should be as well. Now if you believe alcohol shouldn't be legal then you have more of an arguement. The good news is in 20 years it will be medicinally used in all 50 states and this silliness will end. I never thought my state would get to it but they did and I am glad .

People get addicted to sex as well. Should we stop having sexual encounters because some people could get addicted, which could lead to raping and assaulting? People can become addicted to anything. You just have to be responsible with it and use your best judgement. They are using medical marijuana to treat a lot of medical issues today, so it can't be all bad.

I wouldn't begrudge you using for pain relief. I've never opposed it for medicinal purposes. The recreational users are the ones who seem to move to "bigger and better" things.

I pretty much agree, and I have never smoked pot, but I see no reason to continue the ridiculous "war on drugs". Way too much money wasted, with no real progress. Nobody should be taking up space in jails and prisons for non-violent pot offenses.

The big question will be what Pitino does? He just came out fairly recently that they had a no tolerance policy on anyone messing up. Let's see what happens. Pretty good player. Will Rick stick to his guns and push Johnson to the draft?

History tells us he will suspend him indefinitely, which will be about a day or two.
