The question is what are these 2 doing to be on the UL payroll for 6 figures for years in community relations? Denny 80 at $338,000/yr? Looks like he got his revenge on UL. Heard he disputed the buyout Jurich offered and had an attorney negotiate a non disclosure separation agreement. Can't believe how UL has abused its staff and students. No one has ever spoke up for them. Fear of retribution I guess.

If Denny Crum had an orgasm rather than a stroke, they'd a given him a raise and an extension.
Crum is 80 years old and was making in excess of $300K per year just to make appearances, etc. Griffith was making in excess of $100K per year to do the same thing. What were they supposed to do, keep paying these guys until they died? How many former coaches/players does UK have on their payroll that does the same thing these 2 used be's were doing?

I think you made a good point and raised a couple of good questions. I was going to tech school in L-vile in 80 when they won it, so this news makes me feel old. The PR side of this does look like typical UofL foolishness to me, but it's damned if they do, damned if they don't. Crum was classier than this bunch, in my opinion.

Was listening to Jerry Eaves show the other day and they had a former player from Crums day on. He was organizing a signing appearance for the two players that just left. He said that none of the Pitino era players know any of the Louisville history.
Not a card fan at all and know Crum cheated to but that would piss me off if I was a fan. The pimp's ego won't let anything potentially over shadow him; past players and coaches, NBA at YUM, nothing that has the potential to take the spotlight from his high holiness (in his head) is allowed.

When a Crum was U of L's coach I actually liked Louisville. I'm from Louisville and the only time I didn't root for them was when they played Kentucky.

Why do I get the feeling that Denny & Darrel were embarrassed by the way the program was being ran, let Rick or Jurich know about it and that didn't sit to well with current organized crime unit/athletics administration at Louisville? Sounds vindictive to me. Perhaps a new book is coming out.

Before Crum came, most Uk fans would cheer for Uofl. My dad and his friends, all UK fans, would go watch them all the time.
