Louisville message board

UK didnt have the personnel to throw down the field all that much against UGAs defense. Its why Georgia fans were clueless to whine about the last scoring drive taking so long. You can look at the stats and say what you want but what makes Levis the prospect he is .. is his swagger, confidence and his supreme physical attributes at the position.
Levis went into Athens against NFL 1st rounders with fire and confidence. He looked like he belonged on the field and made plays. It was very obvious to Kentucky fans that he was going to war that game. That game is actually one of the main reasons why I am accepting all the off season hype he is getting.

You not going to beat many good teams averaging 5 years. The last drive took so long because UGA wasn't pressing receivers with a 24 pt lead and the clock running down. Would UK scored if UGA had pressed. Maybe but the D had worked all day. He may pass for 500 yards against UGA this fall, but from last seasons stats and results I would keep Bennett, the interception difference is pretty telling. not so much if I were looking for an NFL QB

We will see at the draft…

When did people start getting those tear drop tats after strangling a cat?

What does the draft have to do with being a good college QB. Bennett is 5'9" 175, he won't be an NFL QB. But anyone who is willing to recognize his college accomplishment will realize he is a good college QB, he did that without a 1000 yard rusher or a 1000 yard receiver. WL will be the better NFL QB, but at this point he isn't a better college QB by any way you measure.

He really didn't throw downfield, everything was lateral. Now he was doing his job and getting the ball out quick, what he was asked to do. But not one of his better games imo.
Most of the Levis draft hype has come from scouts who were watching the UK v UGA and came away impressed by Levis, so some seem to be impressed by that game.

I am not saying he isn't a good college QB, could be a top 5 pick, and 12+year NFL starter. I think he is all of that. The issue I have is everyone dismisses Stetson as just being in the right place at the right time and having very little skill. I know Bennett has no shot at the NFL, But that elite defense didn't make a single one of his throws. Or pull the ball down and run for a 1st down, and don't forget his top 3 receivers were all frosh. Not a doubt in my mind WL will be the better pro, but at this point he can't match SB's resume as a college QB.

WL reminds me of Tim Tebow (on a lower scale), whose talents work in college but not necessarily translate well in the pro game. He may be all pro, he may bust. What he does there is between him and the NFL. There's great college players who suck in the pros, then there's average college players who doesn't lose a beat and are even better in the pros. Georgia has a great college QB, I don't care if he's a Munchkin or a hulk. If you can play the game, then play on. Where Levis goes in the draft depends on what he does at UK which is what I care about.

I have reread the threads and no where did any Uk fan say he wasn’t a good QB. WE SAID WILL HAS A HIGHER DRAFT POTENTIAL. Two totally different things. If Bennett plays for Uk last season I don’t believe we win 10 games. If Levi’s players for Georgia last year good chance they still win the title. You can surround a 5”10 guys with 5 star talent and make him look good. Put him with our 3 Stars and I’ll bet his limitations bring him down a bit. Good thing is we will never REALLY know.

Thin skin has nothing to do with it. Bennett put up good stats, better stats than WL did, did it without a 1000 yard rusher or receiver. Those not

Don't claim WL was playing with scrubs, 1000 yard rusher, 1000 yd receiver, SB had neither. 3 leading receiver were frosh. 2 of them were 3* and 1 a 4* so it wasn't like he was throwing to all super stars. Even one of the highest % of explosive plays in the country

Who knows what records would be if they swapped teams, anything is speculation.

I tell you what, if my team just won a natty I wouldn’t be on someone else’s board getting into pissing match about qb’s. I’d simply laugh and say scoreboard, lol. You guys are gonna turn into Bama fans that get bent out of shape if someone dares to suggest that their team isn’t the very best at every single comparison that comes up. Just enjoy your championship and don’t get butt hurt if someone says they like their qb over yours on THEIR board!

4* Madden Sanker got his Louisville offer 10/28/2020
4* Pierce Clarkson got his Louisville offer 4/7/2021
5* Rueben Owens got his Louisville offer 11/22/2021
4* Aaron Williams got his offer 2/23/2022
4* Adonijah Green got his offer 10/23/2021
4* DeAndre Moore Jr not sure when he got an offer as it’s not listed. So most of the guys they have been on at least 8 months or longer.
Big deal I am sure they got offers from lots of schools during those time frame. But, UL used the NIL money and got the player plain and simple. Otherwise, nobody would go to that shit hole.

Scholarship offer from Louisville you know was not enough. NIL they can get at any power 5. What would bring them to Louisville is apparently undisclosed at this time. Given Louisville's history in recruiting, it could be anything. But it sure isn't their program that is a draw for athlete with more than a low 3 star rating.

It'll be fun to see how ul fans react when we beat them by 3 td's+ again this year. Will they become "wait til next year guys"? or will they scream for Sat to be fired?

I understand what you are saying. No matter what the kid won a NC, despite not having the measurables that scouts love.

I had read that it is an executive at Adidas, whose son is a QB they signed, that is passing out the NIL deals. He is setting his son up, on Adidas back if true and all of that Adidas NIL $ and will dry up after that kid leaves.

Funny how most recruits want to go where they can be developed the best for the pro's. But this guy wants to build something at UL??? Pro's may work out for him but him and the guys he has recruited must have ignorant people telling them what to do.

Luckily for us those kids are being developed by incompetent coaches. Otherwise they might actually turn into something. A lot of them will be forced to play next year unfortunately and it will stunt their development and health. It’s a sad situation up there.

Georgia fans have a really bad inferiority complex that spans decades. They’ve always considered themselves one of the big boys but have been the most underachieving program in history all things considered. I realize they’re finally on a roll right now, but you can’t eliminate that complex in a season.

So we've become the basketball program? Draft day is the most important thing.
not sure who yanked your chain from a post made over 2 months ago... that was responding to someone saying that Levis wasn't very good while Bennett was all-pro

but whatever...

The link is Lamar Jackson. He attended Steve Clarkson’s QB camp in high school and has worked there as a counselor since turning pro.
