Lol I saw this. #1 tight end in the country is predicted to go there by Lackford. What a bad decision. Think he’s from AZ rather than Cali though.
The kids father played with one of the Louisville assistant coaches at FSU. The kid will also be talking with the Louisville baseball coaches about maybe doing both football and baseball.

When Satterthorpe is mediocre again, the AD is going to have a tough decision this year. I hope Addidas kept the receipts.
Again…these elite recruits are committing following a 6 - 7 season; knowing they won’t be impacting this upcoming season. Satterfield is likely buying himself at least 2 more years with this 2023 class. Getting rid of him after this year, with this class coming in, would jeopardize what is very likely to be the highest rated recruiting class in program history. It would have to be a monumental collapse to force a change after this year if this class remains reasonably in tact, much less if it improves as it appears it could.

They are committing because Adidas is paying them, there is absolutely no relationship with UL.

This guy should be banned for not following the rules of the site, like he imposed on many for not agreeing with 7's site that he controlled like a little hitler.

Certainly some heavy duty recruiting from Louisville. Lot of new coaches, recruiters, and yes the NIL opportunities. Tricky to say if they all stick...we have had some difficulties with Florida kids staying ourselves. Also the issues UK has faced in the past of guys signing early then waiting for another "dream school" to offer later.
IF they all stick, in a couple years it could be a formidable ACC group.
Meanwhile, UK fans gotta worry about stuff like finishing recruiting 20-30 nationwide but 12 or lower in the conference.

The staff at UK has shown they can develop. Satterfield has a bit to go to build that rep.

Time will tell.

Didn’t realize Adidas wasn’t established until just recently.

The NIL legalization policy went into effect July 1, 2021. It quickly evolved from initially allowing current college athletes opportunities to earn compensation based on their current NIL demand to an open market place for the highly sought after high school athletes with potentially high NIL demand, and to establish a market place and value for their future services. Forward thinking fans, donors and sponsors are quickly adapting to this new world order and forming NIL collectives (An NIL collective is a pool of money from fans, donors, and sponsors, independent from the athletic department that it benefits, that is created for the sole purpose of funding NIL opportunities) to fully incorporate themselves into this new marketplace. Louisville‘s own “502 Circle” collective will launch 8/29/2022, with the purpose of “providing opportunities for U of L student-athletes to maximize their NIL based on their hard-earned success”. The NIL era is here, along with free agency in the form of the Transfer Portal. It’s officially an arm$ race. You can either sit back and pine for the good ole days of amateur athletics, four year players and school loyalty, as many did with the “one and done” basketball era (meanwhile Coach Calipari went All In)…or you can organize your fans, donors and sponsors and get in the NIL game. From what I read, I believe Coach Stoops is hoping to get in on the NIL money train ASAP.

Not about to read this shit. You’re such a fraud.

I personally think Payne wanted to try and move Louisville to Nike and adidas countered by buying them a football team. I hate it that Louisville is getting a bunch of good players but for Louisville fans to pretend it’s some sort of draw to that shithole on Floyd street is comical. You guys were ready to run your coach off last year and will be again this year. It’s not some rejuvenated staff or satterfield changing approach, Addidas is simply buying you a football team.

Well, if I recall, several posters mentioned Louisville was quick to set up programs and research on NIL....that's when we were thinking 'what about UK?'
We can say what we wish about shoe company money, but Barnhart urged caution. That has put the football program weeks (months???) Behind schools like Louisville, Tennessee, Texas, the Oklahoma schools, Oregon and others.
Like the one and done, this is a hard new development. THIS time we are behind the curve.
Whether us old timey guys like it or not, this is the new developing college football world. If Kentucky wants to compete, a way has to be found. We really cant afford more than this season hoping for some judicial or NCAA ( hit the floor laughing) decision.

We need to play hard catch up in this.

Let's see how many of these recruits actually sign especially if UL under-performs this season or the Big boys come knocking. Another drubbing from UK might change some minds about coming.

Many of these elite recruits already hold offers from the “Big Boys”. And if 3 straight “drubbings” from UK didn’t prevent them from committing, I don’t really believe one more, before their arrival, is going to have an impact. Now…if a Big Boy comes knocking, with a Big Boy NIL financial earnings projections, then that could very well change some minds. But while many are still sitting on the NIL sidelines, and others are playing catch up, we are getting them in for visits and they are committing.

I just wouldn't count on every verbal commitment until they actually sign. Some will likely flip.

You think that these kids suddenly realize Satterthorpe is a good coach, UL is the place they should be, or Adidas has a lot of money? Disagreeing with me won't get you banned here.

Louisville has absolutely benefited from Adidas and its NIL network (See link below). So far, Adidas been the only major sports brand to offer the opportunity for student athletes to become a paid affiliate brand ambassadors. Nike has not. They have initially rolled out the program to start with their P5 programs and Historically Black Colleges and Universities, with the student athletes being able to profit off their individual NIL starting this fall. Another relevant Adidas factor is that QB commit Pierce Clarkson, is the son of nationally known QB guru Steve Clarkson, who holds an Adidas sponsored QB camp each year. Pierce Clarkson has been the driving force in convincing most of the California recruits to visit Louisville. So yes, Adidas and NIL has been a huge factor here. So far, Nike has not countered for their partners.

Only a matter of time until Scatterfield hires Steve Clarkson to his staff in an NIL affiliated position.

I couldn’t post a screenshot but on the thread about Cunningham shooting his mouth off their fans are saying this. Will Levi’s will take a huge step backwards this year. He lost Wandale and that’s the only reason he had a good statistical season. Also our offensive line will be a disaster after losing both our tackles. One poster states. Levi’s had all his good games against less than good to poor competition. I guess he was referring to the trashing we put on them. Or maybe it was against Georgia and their poor defense. Will had arguably his best game against them.
While I get their reasoning. They always feel their reserves are better than the starters when they lose someone. Our reserves are garbage I guess.
They don't understand we have more good receivers this year. Maybe none quite as great as Robinson but we should have five or six good producing receivers. Will need to see about the OT's. No way of knowing how well Flax and Buford will play.

Cunningham is the literal definition of good stats vs bad competition. UOFL is going to be bad as long as there d line and o line remain as undersized as they are. I’m not taking a team who lost to frickin Air Force seriously. Let Louisville and South Carolina fans run their mouth. We will work in silence.

Our receivers and defensive backs is where we have really bolstered the roster from last season. The transfer DB's along with some very talented frosh DB's has made those positions more talented and deeper. And with Tayvion Robinson as a very proven WR transfer and some high quality frosh coming in to support those positions we are deeper talent wise at the receiver positions.

On the offensive side of the projected 2 deep play 7 of the 10 are 300+lbs and the other 3 are like 283, 295 & 297. The defensive side add some size but probably be light in a couple positions.

Hmmmm.

There might be a point where the monied players might want a more proven Coach.

And if millions are spent on the class, might “the investor” make a discreet call or two promoting his favorite potential Coach or Coaches, if another <500 season is “pitched” by Satterfield in 2022?

I’ve seen posts on TOS for Louisville that credit “personal relationships” with Coaching staff members and “playing time.”

You can almost hear them laughing at themselves in the background.

Tawfiq (sp?) looks like a nose should in a 3/4, but will be a true frosh. Otherwise I don’t see significant change on a relatively light front 7 made to look like Swiss-Cheese for half-a-decade. Yes, there are numerous, athletic DE sized players 250-280, but as credible Louisville posters noted in the post-game breakdown, last season, Levis and Crod frequently outweighed 8 or 9 of Louisville’s defensive players, and UK was throwing 320-340 pound bodies ahead of them.

This might work against bigger teams not dedicated to run, even if running is the answer . . . and there are coaching staffs in many places who will pass the ball and negate their size advantage in the trenches.

Stoops don’t give a rat’s ass for “pretty points” or passing the ball just for the sake of passing the ball.

If his team can flatten an opponent with the BBW, then it’s “Hey, fiddle, fiddle, we are coming up the middle,” all night long!

He really didn't throw downfield, everything was lateral. Now he was doing his job and getting the ball out quick, what he was asked to do. But not one of his better games imo.
Well, Grumpy, two weeks prior to Kentucky, UGA faced 8th ranked Arkansas at home. It was 24-0 at half, en route to a 34-0 pounding. The Arkansas Hogs went on to win 9 games, including domination of Penn State on NYD in the Outback, and were finally ranked 21st.

I attended the UK/UGA game, and walked away convinced that Georgia was the best defensive team I had ever seen in the SEC. I was also convinced Kentucky was a Top 10 team with a very, very good QB. I’m still convinced of both, though the AP left us 18th, and Coaches 15th.

Our pride at Levis’s heady play at Georgia is not a denigration of the 2021 UGA football team or it’s remarkable defense: it is, in fact, an endorsement. His numbers were good against the best defense I (we) have ever personally seen.

Failure to understand that basic point belies an insecurity from a fan with no need of insecurity: you guys won the national title, going away!!!!!

Lole the transfer out of Arizona state is 325 and should be starting NT but maybe not the first couple of games since he hasn’t been on campus very long.

Since 2006 and the one and done era began, becoming a profe$$ional has trumped “personal relationships” with coaching staff in college basketball. Since the 2018 introduction of the transfer portal (college free agency), “playing time” has trumped “personal relationships” with coaching staff in all sports. And now, since 2021 and the legalization of NIL earnings, the student athlete free market system is trumping “personal relationships” with coaching staffs. Players and recruits ARE and WILL go where they can earn the most money from their NIL. UK and Coach Calipari adapted quickly and successfully embraced the one and done era for the basketball program. Will UK and Coach Stoops (and NIKE) do the same for football? From what I’ve read, Coach Stoops is begging for UK to be allowed to get in the NIL game. The coaches are always quicker to adapt to the changing reality than the fans.
