Louisville is the capital of College Basketball

That's because in addition to the Loserville fans, you also have a huge UK fanbase in the city.

Half of the city, as a matter of fact

At least according to the Wall Street Journal. Quite a misleading headline to say the least, but it's a nice consolation prize for those who care about television ratings and such....
The resident troll strikes again.

In a sense it is but not necessarily because of UL. In the old days there were a great many Final 4's played in Freedom Hall fwiw.

The article only called it the capital because apparently Loserville has the highest tv ratings for college bb of any market. It's hardly the capital of college bb, but they can have that if they want it -- the imperial city is 85 miles east.

The story is about TV rating and the Louisville area is the highest rated TV market for College Basketball. The story is not about UL. The bottom line is in the Louisville area Basketball does great in the TV ratings because people care about either UL, UK or IU. Remember So. Indiana is in the market as well.

ville 77- So true, but it's easy to forget about anything Indiana these days.

Is that smell coming from Louisville? Wall street knows all and should never be questioned.....

UK/Ark was a 20 in the Louisville market, UL game earlier around 13-14. The 14 is a huge number but the 20 is like an NFL regular season game. The week before UK beat UL in the ratings locally.

UK has beaten UL most of the ratings for every game, when you pull other ratings it is some major numbers for UK in comparison to UL. IMO
