I don't normally start threads on here, and this may have been posted over the past 3 years. I stumbled across this article while researching college recruiting costs to justify some initiatives at my company.
Given its a historically slow time to talk basketball, I thought I'd post it.
Anyways, its from 2019, but Kentucky, not surprisingly spent more on college basketball recruiting that year than the football program did, with questionable results I would argue.
Who knew there was a athletic director website?

For reference, the $1.07 million that Kentucky spent on men’s basketball recruiting last year could fund roughly 13 years of recruiting for Wisconsin, based on the Badgers’ 2019 recruiting expenses of $81,503.
Our recruiting budget is at least twice as much as all but 8 Universities.
interesting read for those who like to ponder such things
