Rick had already gotten off. We have made that point many, many times in the past two decades.
Skip the jokes, but UL got hammered, honestly. That hurts more to a UL fan to have that banner taken down than being on post season ban. For once, the NCAA hit the school in the wallet and pride. What good does it do to put the players that have nothing to do with this on postseason ban? You make the school give back all the money, tarnish the image, and take their wins away. It's what the NCAA should do every single time.
Leave it to Smooth to say that the harshest penalty in the history of the sport is too lenient. Even on this great day, you gotta say something stupid and post it. Why not just do away with the program all together, right? Geez.
I won't say they got off, and I'm not complaining about the punishment because taking away a title is a huge deal. But when you look at the rest of the punishments; "probation" which really means very little, loss of 4 scholarships in 4 years, and a little 5-game ACC suspension for the coach under whose watch it happened, and you remember....
They provided prostitutes for 16-17 year old boys....
When you think about it, it really could have been a lot worse.

There should be a federal investigation. This was solicitation of sex to minors on a major scale. Anyone involved should be put behind bars.
