That's what it is about. Smart scheduling. I wouldn't mind playing different schools from around the country instead of playing sisters of the poor. Play a school like Purdue for 2 yrs then Washington St., Rutgers Etc etc. Then if we become a much better program then schedule tougher teams like Penn St, Ohio St etc.
I'd like to schedule teams from the North/ north east region of where we are trying to target recruits from.
You guys may not know it but UK can become a destination school. Look at the amount of players from the NE that want to play in the sec and Bama is targeting them and landing them.
We are the most north east school in the sec. We are much closer to home for these kids then other programs we have cooler temps in the fall then the Deep South so it's not so bad practicing. That is a pitch we could use to land southern kids as well. It seems now that Bama is going after more kids from this area of the country than the Deep South. Tons of good players in the belt way.
