Loss or not, for a team cobbled together over the summer...

I couldn't be happier. Coach Pope has built a team at the last minute that can compete with a solid ACC team in their building. I'm sure Coach Pope knows more than any of us what our team's weaknesses are. He will figure out how to best play the hand that he was essentially dealt.

Losing stinks, but at least I care now when we lose. I had pretty much lost that passion during Cal's last few years. The joy of UK basketball is back for me! Will there be some ups and downs this season? Probably. I just know that I'm loving the ride and looking forward to seeing what Coach Pope will do when he actually has time to build a team under his own terms.

I truly feel sorry for the miserable fans that can't enjoy it.

I'm really concerned with this team. But I'd rather lose with Pope being the coach, than continue losing with Cal.

I'm going to be interested to see how Pope adjusts. We know Cal didn't do that.
