Losing to UofL in Rupp would be

You just busted the myth that you’re a UK fan.
Had a lump in my throat after UofL beat the Cats in Stokely in ‘83. Counted the days on the calendar until they played again the next season, and watched that game on a little portable TV with a single rabbit ear while riding on a dog to a road game. What’s the point of playing if the series isn’t competitive?

Are u even comprehending what you’re saying 🧐🧐🧐. I hope Ky never loses a game again ever, does that mean we should take everyone off the schedule🤔

The point is domination of the line beards. Humiliation for the chicken heads, and despair for the tooth beaks.

That’s on them to get better. For the past 5 years we have definitely not been at our best, so they have had their chance. Anyone believing that losing to make a one game rivalry better is a good idea is ridiculous and definitely not a Wildcat fan.

one of the best things to reinvigorate the intrastate rivalry. Since 2013, UK has lost only two games in the series. Whether anyone else is willing to admit it or not, a re-energized and competitive annual showdown is what makes a great rivalry. One-sided affairs don’t.
This is a 1000 times worse than my Duke take

UK is 14-2 over the last 16 match ups. UL could win, and they will win again and when it happens UL fans will claim they are back and have the top program. Reality is, the gap between UK and UL is now larger than the gap between UL and WKU.
To me the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s were a golden era of college basketball. One of the contributing factors to that was for the most part UK, IU and UofL were all really strong programs during that time frame. I don’t consider NCAA championships by Virginia, UConn or Villanova to be a golden era. To me, it represents the exact opposite.

A really, really good UK basketball season involves maybe 3 or 4 losses along the way. I choose not to live in the fairytale world of UK going undefeated all the way to a national championship title. Some do, I don’t. And if I had any say in to whom those losses would be (which I don’t) it would be great if every other year or so one of those very few losses be to IU or UofL. Why?! How can you utter such treasonous words?! Because it stokes the fire of a good, healthy rivalry, the kind where you sit in your neighbor’s garage in August sipping on a beer, talking junk about how UK is going to extract their revenge in December. That’s why. ☮️

Did you wake up and decide spontaneously to say the stupidest thing anyone has ever said on here (and that's saying a lot) or did you sleep on it first?

Screw that. The rivalry is better when they are really good and we stomp them out. The rivalry is better when we steal their fans hearts. The rivalry is better when we take away all of their hope. Us winning is the goal. Every single time. Not sure what the hell OP is smoking but homie needs to upgrade.

Should not have lost 2 games. Who cares if the dirty birds are ever relevant. I draw the line at the football beatdown.

If UL could make it competitive without winning that would be great. I don’t think they can though.

I don't care if that rivalry goes away. Not worth a loss anyway.

I'd rather replace that game with an annual H&A game vs Duke or UNC.

I can’t understand any true UK fan saying they want to lose to UL; or even for it to be competitive. Doesn’t compute in my brain. I want them to suck forever, and I want to beat them by 100 every time we play. I want them to suck, forever. I want them to be a laughing stock, forever. Seriously. I hate that program. I hate that program with all of my might.

I live in Louisville... trust me.. The fans here are unbearable. They act like they just beat Georgia in football.

NO THANKS...
