Lloyd Tubman

Yes one would think there'd be big news about that order being generated. 3 possibilities i can imagine:

1) Maybe it's been done, and outlets no longer see it as newsworthy? Not likely.

2) Since district and Circuit court have concurrent jurisdiction, maybe the media is looking in the wrong place for the order. But they usually get tips right away on this stuff, so again unlikely.

3) The prosecution and the defense counsel have been in discussions regarding a possible agreement of some sort. Although I'd a till be surprised, this seems the most likely of the unlikely possibilities. Nothing else even really makes sense.

So after reading two pages of gobbily gook, I take it the answer is "I don't know".

The only guarantee in the legal profession is: there are no guarantees.

Well, I am confused enough now, I am going to retire to my chambers. I think the lawyers are saying you shouldn't believe anything unless it comes from a lawyer, and most of the people I know say you can't believe anything a lawyer says, so now I am tending to believe nothing anyone says, so now I don't even believe what I say.

So you should ignore what I just said.

You know who wins in a bare-knuckle lawyer fight?

You guessed it! The viewing public...

Don't blind anyone with your plastic applicators, boys.

I think we just had Tubman's trial here. We had all the pieces.

I'm just glad that you guys didn't charge us for reading this thread. lol

Btw...house arrest is considered "freedom" as compared to the alternative of jail. Tubman is lucky. The vast majority charged with Rape arent so lucky.
rightfully so? i've seen way too many instances where a women accuses someone of rape when it never happened. maybe it needs to happen to you. let your ass sit in jail for a year, and let us know if you still feel the same way. thanks bub.

I agree, TNT's post was incredibly stupid. It doesn't take much for anybody to go to a precinct and lie their a** off. There's an enormous difference between guilty and accused. Right now, he's accused, and judging by the warrant/statement released, that's all it is. An accusation, which could be false.
Nobody deserves to be confined in any way, shape, or form if they didn't do anything wrong. Like Mike said, it wouldn't be the first time where a woman accuses a guy for rape when it never occurred.

Bottom line, forget all the legality mumbo jumbo, this happened 2 months ago. if the girl is still sticking to her accusations and saying she will testify telling those accusations I can't see Lloyd ever setting foot on UK again. Spare me your stories of past injustices, thanks to Jamis there is a zero tolerance national atmosphere around this topic now.

I liked the way the military always did their trials, it took the suspense out of it.

First they announced that everyone is innocent until found guilty.

Then they said, "Bring the guilty Son of a B in".

It sounds like some of those on here got their legal training in the military.

Mike-D: do you no for sure that Tubman didnt do it? If not, Id say keep your mouth shut until it all comes out.

Which begs the question, do you know for sure that Tubman did do it?

Since I believe in freedom of speech I won't tell you to keep your mouth shut.

As it stands, I doubt if anyone on here knows for sure except MAYBE the two involved, and even then there could be some gray areas.

The case would have been dropped immediately if he or FSU's lawyer were involved. I think I saw where FSU's lawyer is something like 35-0 in cases involving FB players.

Also, where is WildcatVeteran when you need Tubman news?

Scary if Wildcat Veteran is actually some sort of coach at Seneca, his posts in general were embarrassing and many had no place here. That said, I'm pretty sure he got banned and is now why_not_kentucky, who has posted in this thread.

Just FYI, y'all talking about him being on "house arrest". Don't know that is accurate. Courtnet simply says the 10K bond was partially secured and has two conditions on it. One is no contact with the victim. Two, says "defendant must reside in Louisville w/ parents".

It's just the courtnet listing so it's not entirely determinative. But the way I interpret that is he can leave his house, and therefore wouldn't be under house arrest. Just means he has to live with his parents.
