little brother in trouble. 0-3?

UL and Jurich threw the Brohm brothers under the bus during the Kragthorpe fiasco. I don't know if Jeff would consider taking the UL job one day if Turtleneck was his boss. In answer to your question, WKU's success does add to the heat on Petrino.

Was their a wake at pizza palace last night? With all the sad faces and all in black it look that way. Sad when a football program dies!!!

Petrino was heard saying that he thought he was in Kansas because they should have won those 3 games, they just run out of time.

from mr. 2nd chance himself...zippitydoda on the cards board:

Understood, and not to redirect the thread, but we all need to give the guy a (2nd) chance. First of all, he's a damn good football coach which is of course his job. His first time around here, he gave us nothing but great results on the field. And most U of L fans recognize that.

His off-the-field stuff is the issue, but it's one he's addressing. His family is intact and in Louisville at his side. He's obviously very visible in this community, and from all appearances, he's behaving like a boy scout. To be honest, if our AD and Petrino's wife can forgive him of his transgressions, who the hell are we to second-guess THEM?

The bottom line is that only time will tell. If ten years from now, he has a couple ACC championships and a clean nose, the decision to take back the prodigal son was a good one. One thing's for sure, he regards football and the ACC very seriously. And he also can be an asset to this conference if he does what he can do and needs to do...

I can't help but laugh because you know he was the first one throwing stones when he left UL high and dry and after his motorcycle fiasco. Guy is a mouthpiece

Trouble it is.
I have said all along since August that Louisville is headed for a 6 or 7 win season. But I assumed they would handle Houston. I never thought they had a prayer against Clemson. Looking ahead, I expect Louisville to beat Samford and Virginia at home. They could struggle with Boston College and Syracuse at home, but those 2 games are likely to determine whether this is a bowl season for them. I think Wake Forest is the only road game they will win this year, and that isn't a sure thing. This isn't going to help recruiting. Who wants to wear the Halloween uniforms and play for that jerk and his bottom half of the ACC team? Things are suddenly looking bleak for Bobby.

Watch those guys go elsewhere if the wheels fall off.

I'm expecting one of their 4 star QB's to go elsewhere if not both. After taking a gander at their OL I think I would.
They have a DE commit that is very good. ....well let's just say has the potential to be good. It's unseen if they can develop players just yet. Strong could and they have been living off his results so let's just sit back and see how this plays out.

The Houston game is the only game UL lost so far that they were actually expected to win. We knew all along that they were overrated this year. They will be 1-3 when they travel to NC State on October 3. After that, they have to travel to Florida State. So if the Cards lose to NC State in Raleigh the 1st week of October, that will be the moment when the wheels fall off.
