Vandy lost to a Sun Belt team. They played their ass off but it is at UK. I'll say UK by 6.5-7.5. Bama were 22 point favorites on the road. Lines don't move that much after one game (and UK beat Miss on the road their last game as 15-point underdogs, might I remind). Too bad we just sucked again SCar. That is part of the small resume, but if that game is the blip of the season, everything else looks pretty strong so far.
Past performances coming off the bye week worries me. Vandy's no joke; we aren't beating them w/ our C game

Take nothing away from Vandy but Bama looked like they were sleep walking through this game. Lots of mental errors and very lacking in the way of energy and effort.

This is how people learn about how point spread works. The money will come in on Vanderbilt and the spread will go down. 11.5 is a whole lot of points.

The thing about UK and Stoops is he likes tight games.
Sometimes that works out in our favor. We're in games against better opponents, however the other side of that coin is we're also in a lot of tight games with teams we should probably put away.
This game has got a lot of things going on. Vandy will be punch drunk. UK will be coming off two weeks. Stoops historically likes a teeth grinding, white knuckler. UK is a lot better than record shows gave two of the best teams in the country all they wanted and beat one of them. Vandy is a lot better than their record, just beat bama. Historically, Vandy is scrappy. They've been giving teams close games for years, especially us.
Scrappy QBs have haunted us since time began. I feel like that is our curse, astrological sign, destiny, whatever...UK football was founded during some cosmic event that predetermined us to be susceptible to scrappy QBs, back up QBs, QBs you've never hear off prior to or after playing us.

A fat and happy Vandy vs Stoops’ paltry team performance after a bye. I don’t know if a Stoops led UK team has ever covered following a bye so whatever it is, money goes against UK
I agree this Vanderbilt team is a lot better than Vanderbilt teams of the past. BUT our defense can shut anybody down. With Vandy being improved like they are, I believe that Georgia had more to do with Vanderbilt beating Alabama than Vandy did. Alabama was still celebrating their win over Georgia and as a result couldn't get up for Vanderbilt. I look for our game next Saturday when we play Vandy for them to still be celebrating their win over Alabama & won't be up for us. UK by at least 10 points.
Ole Miss ran up and down the field on S Carolina's great defense. They couldnt muster anything against us. UK defense now ranked #5 in total defense.

Its the fact Vandy is coming off a huge emotional high, hard fought game. Us resting a week and having the #5 ranked defense in the country AFTER playing Georgia and Ole miss.
UK is extremely undervalued by the media but vegas has caught on now .
