You UK football historians feel free to correct my recollection, but I remember being at the first SEC game played during the inaugural season of Commonwealth Stadium. We hosted Beat Bryant and the Tide (September game). Remember seeing Bryant enjoying a smoke while watching warmups at the goal post.
Main recollection was the Cats went into halftime leading something like 14 - 3 …. Then, Bama gets the kickoff to start the 3rd Qtr…runs it in for a TD and never looks back.
Hate getting beat but was glad to know I saw one of the great ones in Bryant.

Bama has sort of played up or down to their competition i.e. they beat Ole Miss and Tennessee by 14 but A&M by only 6 and Arkansas by just 3. They aren't really a fire breathing monster that some make them out to be this year, none the less they are a one less team with great history, and elite coaches and players. It will be a challenge for the CATS but if they bring their A game, get the crowd into it, and get a break or two who knows?

Bama D is fast aggressive and has 4 -5 * all over the field. If KY holds them to 4 or 5 TD’s and that’s a big if, KY’s offense in my opinion just can’t score enough to keep it within 17-18 points.

Cats get 2 field goals and a late mopup t-down at best.

I'm waffling on this game. Alabama has had some close games this year against questionable teams (ie. Arky, A&M) and haven't really blown the doors off of anyone. Part of me thinks that UK can play with them if Leary is healthy. But, UKs sketchy D and Stoops penchant for getting completely outcoached in big games against big name teams make me think it will be a blowout. Best to include the game in a teaser and tease the line down to like 6.5 or something.

Alabama isn't beating anyone by 30. They win by 14 to 17 n most sec games overall and had a few much closer games as well. I can see it as a 31 to 17 or 31 to 20 type game.
