Liam Coen with medical issue

Posts like this are just bs. The guy is in the hospital, so it is not something minor. Hopefully he gets out and is fine, but they don't keep you in the hospital for minor things. Some of you may think that anxiety attacks are stress related blood pressure issues are minor things, but they are not. If they hold you overnight in a hospital, it is generally because they think you could possibly die if you were not at the hospital.
False. I've worked in a hospital. They keep you in the hospital overnight for a lot of simple reasons. They kept me overnight once just because my BP was a little high. Some people on this site are absolute idiots and very embarrassing.

Exactly, so stupid, everyone in hospital beds ain't on the verge of dying. It was serious enough to go to the hospital, they say it is fine, they say he will go home tomorrow, he stayed overnight purely as a precaution.

Hope he is well, hope Stoops gives him the week off.
Exactly.

You can even be in the hospital overnight and still be considered an outpatient. It's called a 23 hour stay.

Could be a seizure or something. I have them periodically and have to go to the hospital for a checkup and some IV meds to make sure it doesn’t come back. Luckily since I’ve been on my current medication I haven’t had one in 7 years.

Hmmm.... you are on to something...

True. They kept me overnight after I ate a bad turkey sandwich and passed out in church.

Any updates on his condition?
No. Yesterday Coach Stoops said it is a personal matter and HIPPA rules keep him from discussing. What would lead to a healthy man in his mid 30s being hospitalized overnight? Typically healthy young people don't get admitted to the hospital for food poisoning. But I guess it could be anything from appendicitis to a fish bone caught in the throat or COVID. I just hope Coach Coen and his family are alright.

Reading between the lines of Stoops comments Mon it would seem to be unlikely he returns anytime soon.
That may turn out to be the case, IDK. Stoops was deliberately vague. He did not provide anything that would lead to any conclusions one way or the other, even between the lines AFAICT.

Not saying you are wrong, but I cannot see where you are getting that conclusion.
Maybe he was being facetious about being out for the year.

Encouraging comments from Coen, does it mean he'll be on the sidelines calling plays? Maybe he'll take a turn in the press box.

Seeing =/= coaching

I'm betting he sits pkaycalling out

Agree. I'm not sure it's certain yet either way because they have no reason to be secretive. I think he just legitimately will be there coaching in some capacity but not calling plays; at least for now.

Food poising can get bad, I had to get IV meds to stop me from throwing up and other less than flattering stuff. I was so dehydrated I had to get IV to get fluids in me because I couldn’t even drink water. I didn’t have to stay overnight but it was around 11PM when I was in the ER, I was finally released about 8 hours later.

It will be a week, he’s young(that means I am too). I think he will be okay.

Been there man. They gave me 2 bags I was so dehydrated. That’s no fun. Especially the puking and not keeping water down.

I spent just under 72 hours in the hospital back in March. Admitted and had my own room. It was processed as outpatient. The reason they kept me was because they wanted to run tests because of what my CT scan showed. I felt fine after the first night.
