Liam Coen with medical issue

Read Wildcat Lair last night post game. All the complaining got to him. He was asking why? 2-0. Not enough style points? New qb threw for 300 yards and 4 tds? 2 double digit wins not enough early on?
Posts like this are just bs. The guy is in the hospital, so it is not something minor. Hopefully he gets out and is fine, but they don't keep you in the hospital for minor things. Some of you may think that anxiety attacks are stress related blood pressure issues are minor things, but they are not. If they hold you overnight in a hospital, it is generally because they think you could possibly die if you were not at the hospital.

Who has said that this episode with Coach Coen has ANYTHING to do with "anxiety"?????? Being "held overnight" could be from a whole myriad of issues, none of which that could involve "stress".

You LOVE to lecture posters for over-exaggerating, yet this is EXACTLY what you are doing. Why not just pray for him and his family that it is just something "minor" that is TOTALLY resolved by in the morning.

Hope it’s as minimal as something worthy of hospitalization and a Twitter post can be.

Young dude. Not unreasonably outwardly unhealthy. You never know after 30 when you can wake up and your entire life change that day
Could be a seizure or something. I have them periodically and have to go to the hospital for a checkup and some IV meds to make sure it doesn’t come back. Luckily since I’ve been on my current medication I haven’t had one in 7 years.

They can keep you in the hospital for a variety of reasons, many of which aren’t close to death.

And a guy like coen they have maybe given him the option. It’s funny. I’ve seen stress and anxiety, seizures (random), and severe dehydration in this thread. People speculating about something they have no idea. Here’s a novel idea. Don’t speculate and hope for the best for our coach and our players. It shouldn’t be taken lightly but speculating on someone’s health you know nothing about is toxic as hell.

@BBBLazing Actually, if you go to the hospital and tell them you're having chest pain, palpitations etc they'll usually admit you overnight to run some tests and see whats up. If it was stress he could have came into the ER said hey I am having really bad chest pains. They run some carcinology tests, see that it's nothing but stress and release him.

Most fans have no clue how much work and how much stress these coaches are under. It’s a relentless work schedule and life. Maybe we could all appreciate what they do and put in. If you’ve coached even at the high school level you would understand the demand put on coaches

People telling people what they can speculate about is even more toxic.

Or they need the money. But that might be out since he is probably in the UK medical center.

Exactly, so stupid, everyone in hospital beds ain't on the verge of dying. It was serious enough to go to the hospital, they say it is fine, they say he will go home tomorrow, he stayed overnight purely as a precaution.

Hope he is well, hope Stoops gives him the week off.

Alarming to hear and I'm glad he has been released. I hope it is very minor, nothing to worry about, and totally unrelated to his work as a coach. Best wishes to him ...

Well not really because all this speculation gets back to the team. Health issues imo aren’t the stuff of gossip and innuendo. A player and an injury are one thing but a coaches health well that’s how rumors get started. Me suggesting not to do that how the hell is that affecting anyone?

EKU&Ball St...extremely impressive wins! If you can't see a need for concern, you can't be helped. Good grief.
Not enough style points I get it.

You won’t even remember those games at the end of the year. It’s all about the Ws only when it comes to the post season.

Rather build toward that than worry about 2 early season win.

Just win baby!

Could be anything from chest pain or dehydration. Maybe he is an appendix lighter than he was Friday. But anyway Stoops says he will be in the office soon so no need to worry too much

Yeah, hell, a kidney stone or constipation can present as appendicitis pain. Panic attacks can present like heart attacks.... dude needs to take it easy this week and make sure he's ready for the start of SEC play, if possible.

Whatever happened, the fact that Stoops doesn't seem worried is a good signal to me. Would be nice to hear from Coen later this week, but that'll be within his own timeframe.

Doesn’t seem worried but got choked up talking about it. It must have been a scary moment. Stoops said Liam is very self-critical. I suspect he may have overworked trying to get things perfect.

You are completely incorrect about holding overnight in hospital because you could possibly die. Numerous reasons for one hospital night; most are not even serious but for observing progress.
