If we’re playing a Big Ten team he must play. Any other conference, adios back to whatever New England state he’s from.
If Levis and a few others on the team skip the bowl game I would like them to announce that before fans go out and buy tickets

I'm glad that you are not his advisor. If he had quit that early, the NFL would not be pleased. Sitting out a meaningless bowl after paying his dues all year is one thing. Quitting on your team in mid-season is another and that would NOT help his draft status, especially when one of his best assets as a prospect is his warrior mentality.
I understand wanting your starting QB to play, but if he doesn't want to play do you really want him out there? Even if you are able to threaten him into playing, he takes a dive first play and is "injured". Either way it's a lose-lose for the school
Every Bowl season this topic is brought up..it's an entertaining thread everytime. Just stare at my phone in disbelief, as grown men get upset about a young man playing in or sitting out a game.
We should either develop players or be deep enough to overcome this stuff....

That's actually a very good point. For years, posters of a certain political perspective were quite passionate about how players should have every right to boycott bowl games because they're not getting paid. Well, now they ARE getting paid. And, yet, politically oriented posters like Yakety, Dville, and Tubby are still in favor of playing boycotting bowls, as are the sportswriters, who also are quite political. Interesting. If they were on a specific contract, would it be OK to opt out of meaningless games? Would it be OK for NFL players to opt out of games after the team is eliminated from the playoff? I would ask our political oriented posters who parrot the sportswriters to consider these questions.
With that said, I can also see an argument that guys like Levis and C-Rod at this point have already earned their money, so I do see both sides of the issue. Ultimately, if guys like Stoops and the UK football players are in support, I can't feel like I should be too bitter as a fan.

Backup quarterbacks do not play much for any coach. It is not about Stoops. Why make it about him? This has been a disappointing season, but the backup quarterback is not the reason.
