I really wouldn't say he never panned out. He has some good games. But yep as of right now it looks like he's true big game was against ul and that wasn't even with his aim. We'll see what he's got against ole miss. That will tell who he is.
It's not the tackles job to block a blitzing corner.Flax gave up two sacks that series. Couldn't push off a 160 lb cornerback on the first one..

Probably the same dumb ass group that complain about anything and everything football or basketballProbably the same people that kept wanting Beau Allen to start over him. Either that or they are in that segment that can't be happy about anything. Levis is the #3 rated QB for next year's draft and we have a decent size group that gets on here and complains about him on a weekly basis.
JL had one good season, while playing in a pass, pass, pass offense. Levis is far better. If you can’t see the obvious, NFL scouts will open your eyes for you.Don't think he’s better than JL.
So being aware and critical of bad play is ignorant? To each their own I guessCongrats on being the early leader for most ignorant thread of the night.
EXACTLY!!! But some here will crucify you if you are critical. Levis is AMAZING but he has to get better about taking negative plays.I think they were bringing 6 on some plays, maybe even 7.
The o-line had some misses, but Levis never threw the ball away to avoid a pressure or a sack, And that’s a telling stat for a team so reliant on passing.
The o-line deserves justified criticism, but some responsibility lies with Levis and the plays called for the total sack numbers.
When he is not on a block and the guy rubs shoulders with him on the way to the QB then I would of least want him to push the guy off his line. Sometimes players just have to react. It's not the tackles job to block a blitzing corner.
Yea 303 yards and 3 touchdowns….God he sucks 🤡😾Jesus Christ!!!!! What a SAD showing so far!!! Throw the ****ing ball Will!!!!!!
This!Once CRod comes back there will be less pressure on Levis, because defenses will have to respect the run.
That’s what I saw as well. The OLine had its fair share of struggles but they were bringing a lot of guys every down. The backs and Levis has to make teams pay for that. It’s near impossible to block seven with five every play. This!
All our opponents have needed to do was blitz into one or two rushing lanes, and either stuff Smoke, who could neither block the blitzer nor run over him, and they achieve pressure, without a failure by our o-line.
I guess you prefer Malik Cunningham.Jesus Christ!!!!! What a SAD showing so far!!! Throw the ****ing ball Will!!!!!!
Is that how you played? When he is not on a block and the guy rubs shoulders with him on the way to the QB then I would of least want him to push the guy off his line. Sometimes players just have to react.
Yes he is. JL was great sometimes but he would make the worst decisions I've ever seen. Cost us A Florida game one year.Don't think he’s better than JL.
On a 70% completion rate with very little time to get the ball off. Our fans can be ridiculous.Yea 303 yards and 3 touchdowns….God he sucks 🤡😾
Frankly, I’m not sure any other QB could have absorbed this much punishment and kept going!I was and am speaking of his pocket presence only. That said, I wouldn’t trade him for any other qb in the country this year! GO CATS!
He does not have time to read the progression of the play. Perhaps his vision is due to seeing the other teams defense in the backfield too often. We are (for this past game) in the 4th week of the regular season and he knows as well as the rest of us that the O-line cannot protect him (yet) so, his vision must be adjusted to just a narrow field (time driven). It's almost as if he has to think and play as if there is a blitz almost every down. Most coaches I believe have already seen the problems with our O-line and "bringing the house" as one poster put it looks to be the thing to do right now. I think Will has handled this well to this point.I was going to post this last week but I agree Will seems to have a narrow cone of vision and doesn’t see or feel the rush coming as well as he should.
I was thinking that same thing but, perhaps that is by design. A running quarterback takes a lot of hits too.I thought he be running himself more this season but he's sitting back there taking a beating. Sumtimes you gotta see it collapsing and take off. He's not doing that much right now.
That is what I saw with JL too. I loved the guy, but decision making was a problem with him.Yes he is. JL was great sometimes but he would make the worst decisions I've ever seen. Cost us A Florida game one year.
First game I got to see from start to finish and was not impressed, they need to clean up that O line and some other things fast before an SEC team.Jesus Christ!!!!! What a SAD showing so far!!! Throw the ****ing ball Will!!!!!!
Nice recovery.Never said Will was a terrible qb or that I’d rather have Malik Cunningham by any means. If all you that have commented thinking that’s what I was saying need to re-read the thread title. I was and am speaking of his pocket presence only. That said, I wouldn’t trade him for any other qb in the country this year! GO CATS!
Levis is in the running to be the #1 pick. I read an article the other day that said because he plays in our pro style offense then he will be more NFL ready than most of the other QB prospects. He is our ticket to more big time QB prospects. The coach also doesn't want him taking the hits that he did last year trying to run the ball. The season could go from great to bad if he doesn't stay healthy for all the games.I was thinking that same thing but, perhaps that is by design. A running quarterback takes a lot of hits too.
Just speculating but maybe the coaches want him to be more of a pocket (pro style) passer since we have the receivers and with C-Rod the ground game to support the offense for just that sort of game hoping the O-line will develop.
JLs only drawback was to his desire to stay in shape. By the way JL had a SB ring. He would kill it in this offense.JL had one good season, while playing in a pass, pass, pass offense. Levis is far better. If you can’t see the obvious, NFL scouts will open your eyes for you.
The UF game he got knocked 5-7 yards backward on one snap by a LB. He is really struggling to be an effective O lineman.Flax gave up two sacks that series. Couldn't push off a 160 lb cornerback on the first one..

He's going to take the hits this year regardless it seems. So I would rather him run it and be prepared to be hit than be blindsided by a defensive lineman. Most qb injuries are while getting hit in the pocket I would bet. Terry Wilson being an exception here of course. I doubt defenders can pull Levis down like that with his size and the way he runs it.Levis is in the running to be the #1 pick. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning has/had decent pocket presenceTim Couch had “horrible pocket presence” too I guess 🤔
The O-coordinator said he didn't want him running like he did last year. Too many hits equals a short career is what he alluded too. You are right though, QB's get injured in the pocket too. He's going to take the hits this year regardless it seems.
