Levis has a new toy

Levis was better as a rookie. He's been bad, and Callahan is a disaster so far.

Titans weren't ready to develop Levis.

They let Henry go who is absolutely all world. They didn't do much with the OL. Rookie they drafted is only one guy and a new one at that.

Their skill players all peaked elsewhere.

If I were Levis I'd be telling my agent to get me out. He still young enough to where someone will take a flier on him. Let him do a rehab stint with McVay or Shannon, then get him to team with the pieces in place. See Minnesota, Tampa Bay.

Sadly for Will and his agent, his stock is at an all-time low right now. Not much bargaining power there.

When you throw an absolute strike to your BIg FA WR for what would have been a 20+ yard gain to the 50 and he just dickfingers it away…

I have been a Titans fan for 25 years and all they do is ruin QB’s post McNair.

I feel bad for Will but I’ve seen this story play out before. Amy Adams Hyphenate doesn’t care. She got her tax payer funded stadium and she knows it will be full if the Titans are garbage when the Cowboys or the Steelers or the Packers or any of the big market teams with national followings come to town.

Yea, Ridley did Will no favors today. That’s for sure.

He had a great first game last season and then was pretty blah. Completed less than 59% of passes.
I thought he had a pretty good showing on the road at Pittsburg in a loss and then that big W on the road at Miami. Obviously the 4 TD game in his first start was the biggest outlier, but he had some really promising performances in other games as well.

Still makes me smh in disbelief at how many sacks he causes by not throwing the ball.

In true Levis fashion, he'll have a really good game or maybe two before end of season. That way its really tough to know if hes worth it or not.

His agent needs to get him out of there.

Go on a Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Geno Smith, etc...lay low, rehab somewhere as a back-up.

He's still young, plenty of potential. Trying to save a poor franchise is just career suicide for most QBs.
His agent doesnt have a lot of leverage currently

At least the titans have made a super bowl and a few afc title games.

Levis hasn't done anything and isn't good enough to save any team.

I told you guys he wasnt NFL 1st round type draft pick material. I never thought he would amount to a NFL starter .

I watched this game, Levis made very poor decisions, but in fairness one of the picks was a defection off of the intended receiver.
Protection was better then what I have seen previously but not great. At any rate, I don't see how he stays in the League if he keeps turning the ball over like this.

He threw a rocket to a man on a short route and too far in front of the wr to boot. That one was a great play by the defense to get that deflection though. 99% of the time that hits the ground.

I wathced the game as well. 2 of his picks were throws a high schooler would not have made, He's a bone head with lots of Testosterone. He'll be on The Bachelor soon.

At best he’s a play action qb. He still needed to get better but fit what vrabel was doing more than what’s going on now. He struggles with reading the field quickly and ends up turning the ball over being late on reads or just simply trying to make hero plays. Coen found some success with him mid season on by cutting the field in half and having him just read one side then throw it away if he didn’t see anything. It eliminated those late throws across the middle etc he struggled with the first half of 21. So the offenses that rely on the qb for so much don’t have a fit for him. He would be much more suited for ‘runs and chuck it deeps to stretch the defense’.

Yep. Just like uk fans, the most vocal weren't satisfied with winning. They wanted entertainment. Now they have neither.
I don’t see any way to go along with the myth that fans can be blamed for what is going on. As clunky as things have been in this period where he has made failed attempts at transitioning to providing more offense, we’ve still churned out the same kind of mediocre but ‘probably good enough but rather be a win better’ results even the last couple of years and got 10 wins because of a passing game. He made the change because they couldn’t grow any as a program if they didn’t get an offense.

We had three seasons where we won 10 before they were vacated, and 7 and 7. Basically the same as before. The primary difference is the schedule doesn’t allow us to hide the poor offenses or what has become lackluster and uninspired coaching. We won four because we no longer can hide stuff with the schedule and other SEC schools and Louisville in our tier changing coaches who are figuring out how to proceed in this era better than we have. To say this is about fans who want more entertainment I think is pretty narrow. The Covid season exposed it, they made the changes and hit the lotto with Coen, Wandale and Levis for a season. We went right back to 7. Floundering around for an identity and being good at anything on O. There’s no way around needing better offense. The better schedules now demand it.

He didn't cut the field in half. He cut the read down to one. Either the primary was open or he was to run. Thats when we took off as an offense.

Every time hes asked to read a defense, its a sack or int.

I do agree on play action though. Hes serviceable in that approach because its limited receivers.

Going swell isn't it. For both uk and the titans.

Not sure what you get at. If he could run the ball down the field and score he would. We can’t. It’s not going well as is and if we just ran the ball we would still struggle against this schedule too. We saw that without the money games in 2020. He hasn’t had any feel for what he’s doing on that side of the ball since he’s been here. He loved the run game during that 3-4 year stretch of playing the certain set of of coaches at sc, mizzou, Vandy, UL that had their own struggles with in game decisions and we could play stodgy and pull out some tight games. None of those coaches are at those schools anymore and the game continues to evolve around and beyond us on the field and off.

But his biggest issue above all is he has no energy or juice. He started feeling himself after the off season where he got picked by us and his ad in the cal spat and then he mouthed at Beamer and started laying more than the usual 1 or two bad eggs and the guy has been lifeless in interviews the last couple of seasons. We can see all of that but there are non Youngstown people in the building down there that see it more closely than we do. This is so unbelievably similar to cal. No energy, not going to learn new tricks, doesn’t seem to have a feel for the more modern portions of the sport, starting to get defensive with interviews some. I mean sometimes people are just done. It happens in regular jobs. He got his big contract and seemed like he felt he arrived for the first time after the cal spat. Before that he was at least blue collar to appreciate even with some of his consistent coaching flaws
