Lets talk 2025 NFL Draft

Also I wish the Titans would have picked Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter. I don’t think any QB is going to succeed there right now. They need to simply draft the best players available for a few years in a row.

I didn’t realize UL’s QB was even expected to be drafted.
It wasn't completely out of the question that he could have gone in the 1st round. It certainly wasn't expected but there was some talk that he had an outside shot. Doesn't bother me, he was only there a year as a mercenary. I barely had time to dislike him.

If any of the stories about Sanders are correct he may not get drafted. Walking into a GM interview with a board game and refusing to answer football questions. I definitely wouldn’t pick him simply due to lack of respect for anyone in power. Will be interesting to see if anyone breaks at this point and picks him up.

Not drafted would be a bigger dis. Of course, Deion will say that they can go to the team they want that will develop his son. He is as easy to quote as Cal had became.
I just don’t see where he fits anyway. Drop back, not overly mobile, not incredibly accurate and is as arrogant as his dad was but with a much more narrow skillset. It will be interesting if anyone takes a chance on him. I am leaning no at this point but he’s good enough to back up somewhere so I guess we will see.

A couple of odd things to me in the 2nd round:

South Carolina with 3 defensive players taken with their best defensive player coming back next season.

Ohio St with 2 RB's going in the 2nd round. That doesn't happen very often.

I'll throw in one more too. The UofL QB going in this round seems high for him.

It’a an incredibly weak draft for high level skill plays IMO. QB is the worst draft I can recall, and WR, RB and TE is weak too. Lots of guys at WR and TE went the last two years so I can see that. QB I can see too since there has been a drastic shift from pro style which but it’s hard to find guys that can run it. Edge has been strong, interior has been pretty good. Just makes me believe that the premium on mid level skill is down given a lot of teams have core they like, at least for this draft.

Dillon Gabriel before Sanders. Ooff.

He ain’t getting drafted.
Nope. It isn’t happening. GM’s throwing down the gauntlet against this entitled approach. It’s back to who wants to get after it and not the Style pick. This has been a fantastic Draft to watch from a strategic standpoint. Ever team has had a good draft. Som maybe a little better but it’s been very strategic and low emotion. Very interesting to see them kind of change how they draft.

It only takes one team. Like UCLA with Nico.

Then you haven’t been paying to close attention. Since the end of the season his draft stock has been on the rise through the workouts and interviews. Some have even said he is the best pure passer in the draft. In the last few days leading up to the draft there was some talk that he go late first round.

Saints will be terrible this year and probably be in contention for #1 next year. They will draft New Orleans' own Arch Manning, and then we'll never hear about Tyler Shough ever again.

Maybe so but have never heard his name until last night, i thought he was one of those North Dakota State types until they said he was Louisville.

Interviews can make or break your job opportunity. I've seen it first hand several times. This is no different. The talking heads will spin this like crazy so that it's everyone else is the problem not Sanders.

Further proof how vastly weak the draft is this year on QB’s

Hat tip to Louisville native Jordan Watkins going to the 49ers in the fourth round. He almost came to UK when he left UofL but opted to play for Kiffin instead.

His stock did rise but because it was previously non-existent. I saw/heard some ul fans think he might sneak into first round....lol.

Iirc hes basically as old as joe burrow already or close to it. Hes one of those guys that's been around an absurd amount of time and didn't even dominate in college. We'll see what happens.

Steelers drafted Will Howard. I hope and pray he turns into a starter for us after a year behind Rodgers
