Last couple of games answered a year long question

He's filling the void Robinson left quite well. The last two games, Chandler has hit 5 threes.

More importantly, he is playing Elite level defense, something Robinson could not do even on his best days.

Over Kentucky's last seven games, they have been a top 16 defense in the nation. Chandler has a lot to do with that.

6ppg and 44% from 3 over the last 6 games in which he's started to play meaningful minutes. Ill take that all day.

I have no idea how CMP is pulling this off. I would love to see one of his practices. I feel like some of the individual player development has been very impressive and Chandler is just the latest example of it.
If Chandler can play like this against SEC competition, he can surely do it in the NCAAT against the other leagues.
I feel like our ceiling is back where it was when Jaxson was healthy and it's because Chandler is emerging.

Perry should have been treated like a walk on only to get mop up min and chandler should have been ahead of him the whole time. Chandler has changed the defensive look of the team and now he’s hitting shots. He’s extremely athletic and was a lot of people’s pick for break out player. He’s a 20 year old top 30-40 freshman. And if he keeps getting better he helps us become a contender.

Maybe so
But we also didn’t see what he did in practice to have earned or not earned playing time
It’s easy to see now, but a few weeks ago Chandler looked more lost than Perry did
Now I’d agree…give him the minutes first
I think, based on the last few games, he’ll be the guy who fills the void after losing Jaxon

Exactly this.

Robinson is a fantastic player. And I'd take him back in a heart beat. You'd certainly never wish for an injury. I think defensively, he's had his struggles.

Our offense has stayed top 10. Our defense has jumped 50+ spots (Kenpom).

Chandler has played great in the last few games, but I'm not writing off any of our players.

We have a virtual conga line of players that were unplayable at times this year. It would be a shorter list to show the ones that were consistent. There were multiple games each player was "unplayable" and in other games came through and helped us win. Not even an injured Butler was immune.

Every single player has contributed key plays to help us win. Every single scholarship player scored double digits in at least one game except Krissa who had a high of nine.

Pope's coaching of our "unplayables" this year is nothing short of brilliant. Can't wait to see who's unplayable next.

" WHATS CHANDLER DOING ON THE FLOOR?"
Now we know. Young guy has had a terribly tough season with a monstrous learning curve.
Results are showing now. A summer of building strength and practice....guy could turn some heads next season.
We are going to turn some heads this season. The more I watch some of our last 2 games, the more I think we are going to the Final Four.

Took me awhile to understand the Chandler PT and why Coach was trying so hard to blend him into the rotation.

This is why Coach Pope gets paid the big bucks. I'm sure the players appreciate CMP's patience for letting them growing the system.

Chandler has the best vision/anticipation on the team.

The game has slowed down for him and his confidence has blown up in a good way.

I've been watching him play defense closely the last two games. His instincts, length, athleticism and hustle have made a big difference for the team when on defense.

Chandler is exceptional at bodying up and staying parallel when his man drives, without having to put his hands on his man. He has the athleticism that Perry doesn’t. So glad he's shaken of the rust and can’t wait to see what he con contribute.

His rise in confidence is coming at exactly the right time for the team to make a deep run. And I think we’ll be shocked at how this upswing of confidence will contribute to postseason success.

The problem for Perry wouldn’t necessarily be found in practice. He can be the hardest worker on the floor his problem is he can’t stay in front of his man, he is too slow for the sec. At least as a pg on defense. When he hits the floor we give up runs every time and some have swung momentum leading to giving up big leads. Chandler has been the answer all season and it’s terribly obvious. I know pope is trying to play the Kentucky boy but he’s gonna need 4 years to figure out how to compensate on defense in the SEC. If he stays 4 years he will be a big time contributor. Noah is in the same boat. Perry will have to accept though a supporting role to stick at UK and NIL is going to be optimal at UK. We ll see but I do like popes system to retain players.

He killed us many times this season but played great yesterday. Hope we get that version of him going forward.

I don't have a major problem with him being on the floor but have no clue why Pope insists on having him at point. He has the worst handle on the team by a large margin.

Perry was awful yesterday.

Our freshmen have all been and continue to be works in progress. Chandler has not "been the answer all season". Sometimes it was Perry and Sometimes it was Noah. Perhaps with his athleticism we hoped he would end up being the answer. Maybe he is going forward. Glad we had all three to contribute this year.

That's the ebb and flow of being freshman.

Yeah you’re right for the most part. He has done some good things defensively but it’s not quite enough.
That being said, if he can stick it out 4 years and can become a valuable contributor, he’ll be be a fan favorite for life
